My CRNA friends do illegal drugs
The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists has a website: aana.com which offers Peer Assistance to CRNAs with substance abuse/use problems. Perhaps, you could encourage your friends to access the 800 hotline. From what I gather, they are very supportive not punity.

Sales Pitch to Land Employment Contract as SRNA
Hi All, I'm considering approaching a few prospective employers about an employement contract while a SRNA. For those of you who have negotiated employment contracts while an SRNA, please share your approaches/sales pitches so to speak. How did you go about the process? How long were you in a CRNA program before landing your contract? What pointers can you suggest? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Alternative Loans - here's what I've found
DebbieSue, I'm not a financial planner or anything even close but I'd like to offer this prospective: Here goes. Assuming that you are the sole provider of yourself and children, you absolutely have to prepare for the "what ifs". Since CRNA school requires a full-time committment--no work, you would probably be better off leaving your IRA in place for unforeseen financial circumstances and use loans for school. You can apply for and more than likely get loans while you are still working. Once you are no longer working, you will need a co-signer to get private loan money for school. In other words, save the IRA for emergencies and use loans for school. If you use the IRA for school and other expenses and are no longer working, and find yourself needing more money, it may be a bit of a challenge to get a loan without a co-signer if you are not working. I hope this all makes sense. Much success on your decision. TIVA2

Has anyone else tried J. Rubios shoes???
Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum and have found it to be quite informative. I am very impressed with the wealth of knowledge that is exchanged which brings me to my need for help. I'm desperately searching for comfortable shoes to work in. I think one person mentioned J. Rubios shoes/clogs in an earlier post. I did go to the website but am wondering how reputable the company is and if anyone else has tried them (the shoes too). Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks
