  1. I have a few questions regarding TPAPN. I am in my last semester of a VN program. Last year I also was, but had to withdraw to go to treatment for alcohol. It was a self admission and I never got into trouble for it. Tomorrow I will have a year sober. I completed inpatient and outpatient treatment, and still attend AA meetings and therapy. My instructor knows I was in treatment and was very supportive of me being there as well as coming back to finish this year. When I initially got my blue card, I was approved easily because I had no issues really. Now however, I will have to admit to being treated for alcoholism on my application for licensure. How long will this delay my license? What can I expect from TPAPN? From what I understand, even people with years of sobriety generally have to complete TPAPN. So I am expecting that I will as well. I know it can be a pain, but I’m keeping a positive attitude about it. Also, what kinds of jobs are available with the restrictions in the Austin, San Antonio, and Hill Country Area? I want to work in Psych or a treatment center so I am hoping this won’t hold me back too much. I’m super nervous. Thank you for any and all advice or input!
