  1. I will be be driving. I don’t want to pack all my luggage on a plane. I also read that if we are to get off base privileges at some point it’s nice to have a vehicle. Not sure that’ll happen with Covid. I will probably get there a day or so I won’t feel rushed getting there.
  2. Both of mine with Pfizer. Sore arm was my only complaint for both.
  3. @djmatte thanks and I’m fully prepared to embrace the suck. I know it’ll be completely different than what I’m used to since I’m not prior service. I have had both doses. I’m hopeful that I may be a little more protected. Fortunately I didn’t have any reactions to either dose.
  4. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this and roaches, that’s gross. This definitely doesn’t sound like something to look forward to. I hope you feel better soon! Can we take vitamins with us? And how is the academics?
  5. That stinks! Are you having symptoms? Praying for a speedy recovery! I was told I’d quarantine for 2 weeks once I got there. Did you have to when you got there and will this push you back?
  6. Tell all the details and need to knows!!
  7. Good luck!! I’m excited to hear all about your experiences!
  8. I had 4 OCONUS locations also. I’m not sure about an updated class list. Maybe he was wrong and I’m actually going in March. Or at least I can only hope. He’s my new recruiter. I also switched after I was selected. And he’s a new recruiter so I’ve been also talking to my first recruiter to get certain information if he doesn’t have any answers.
  9. It was 3rd on my list. I think it’ll be a good experience... hopefully
  10. I found out today that I’m going to OTS April 6th and will be stationed at Andrews AFB in Maryland. I was hoping to go sooner but hopefully I’ll be able to get everything in order by then.
  11. I still haven’t heard a date for OTS. I was hoping to hear something this week. I did my background and fingerprints last week.
  12. My recruiter called me today and said there were a couple drops from the January group and asked if I wanted to try to get a spot. It will be here soon but I guess we have to do at some point so I told him to put me on the list. He said it’s not a guarantee but he emailed my name so we’ll see if I get it.
  13. I was not on the list for Jan 5th. I was told I’d probably go February 21st (I believe that was the date). Your can let all of us know that aren’t going then what to expect and what bring with us?
  14. I also just got the call! Congrats everyone!!
  15. I wasn’t given a release date by my recruiter. All he told me was end of November maybe early December, so it was a surprise when he called me to let me know. He didn’t say anything about them being delayed either so who knows. But he did say if the official results were released Friday afternoon he would call, (which he didn’t), he would call hopefully early this coming week with official results. It seems in years past the results were always delayed for whatever reason Hopefully you’re recruiter is playing it safe or doesn’t really know like you said. Hoping you’ve hear something very soon! Either way good luck to you! I also applied for ED.
  16. I just got a call from my recruiter giving me UNOFFICIAL good news!! He said he hopes it will officially come out this afternoon. He also said they were stricter this year versus last year and was looking for “more quantified” applicants, whatever that means. Good luck to everyone and I hope we all hear OFFICIAL good news today!!
  17. The 12th is also just an anticipated date. I was never told about this date by my recruiter. He told me the end of November maybe as late as the first of December. Hopefully they well actually release this week. I thought the same thing. This is the only thread I’ve actually seen regarding boards for FY21. And there aren’t any moderators commenting like years past.
  18. I don’t know about any other specialty but the nurse consultant told me there were about 20 positions for ER not including those that were separating for whatever reason. He said there were actually around 30-35 total.
  19. Good luck to you! Hopefully when we both are selected we will meet in COT!
  20. I was under the impression that you only needed 6 months of specialty experience and 1 year of nursing to qualify. Good luck!
  21. I had my nurse consultant interview today and it went so much better than my chief nurse interview. He had so much information to given, things that my recruiter either doesn't know or hasn't told me. He did give me a "quiz" of 6 questions to check my knowledge base regarding triaging patients. Overall, I feel it went very well. So now I wait until all my medical is approved and boards in a few weeks. Good luck everyone!
  22. That’s awesome!! CONGRATS. I have my consultant interview this week then hopefully I’ll be finished and ready to submit for October boards.
  23. Around 30 min. My recruiter called me yesterday and told me the CNO had a change in her schedule so it was shortened, which was completely fine with me LOL. She was right to the point. Asked the questions she needed and we were finished. My recruiter did give me an interview tips letter that suggests a “thank you note” so I emailed her one shortly after.
  24. I just finished me CNO interview. It went OK I think but couldn’t really get a good vibe from her. She was very straightforward, not much of any small talk. Now on to the consultant interview. I also went to meps this week. Thankfully passed everything.
