  1. Not sure if you saw the email from SMU but they sent an update out a week ago saying we will hear back end of June, early July. So hopefully we will hear soon! :)
  2. Hi! Just curious if anyone else on here is still waiting to hear back about admissions for this fall. I reached out to them a couple of weeks ago and they said they were still working on my app....
  3. I took mine at Santa Barbara City College and it was 100% online.
  4. Good to know, it sounds like they are very open to working with students for future based on what you heard back and what a few others have mentioned. I know a couple of people on here all heard back well over a week ago but I havent yet and the wait is killing me. Im dying to have it all figured out. We need more DABSN programs badly.
  5. Which vaccine? The covid shot? I knew about having to have the TB done.
  6. Ugh, I’m really sorry. Where do you live? And did you say you were able to relocate? It’s such a tough time to figure this out with covid and the issue of not all states participating in their distanced program. I just want to work already.
  7. The web address is opus.emory.edu. I set this up through the main Emory website. Go to their website and search for the student portal, you’ll be able to access it that way. That’s how I think we will be hearing back about our application status.
  8. Is the first Atlanta trip two weeks? Or is that at the end? Have they told you yet what they will do to ensure you're getting your clinical hours?
  9. I am hearing similar complaints from another accelerated program that I have applied to here in Northern Ca. For the cost of these programs it is discouraging to hear nursing students are disappointed! I appreciate your feedback.
  10. Really?? I’m praying they give me a chance.
  11. I’m so sorry. This has been the longest road trying to get into a program. I’m waiting to hear back still and I bet it’ll be a no for me as well. I live in Ca and said I could move to Seattle. Did they email you? I keep checking the student portal but nothing yet...
  12. That’s a bummer, I would have thought small groups would force the opposite and make everyone want to join in. Again thank you for the feedback!! It’s really helpful.
  13. Im the same way, I do better in class where an inaituvtur is teaching the material so I can ask questions in real time rather than small groups etc. But this isn’t discouraging, and I’m glad to hear they’re understanding about exam grades. At least they make it so the students still work together over zoom. What have you heard about clinicals? I’ll have to relocate for them which is fine but I’m really anxious to hear exactly what that time frame looks like.
  14. Thank you for the feedback!! It’s good to know what to expect. Do you feel like you’re learning and will be prepared for the NCLEX? I know you’re only 3 weeks in so it may be hard to say...
  15. No. I was wondering the same thing! I check all of the time but no news yet...
  16. I’m curious how many of us are applying for the few extra seats.... At least we will know soon where we stand ?
  17. I haven’t heard anything yet... When I reached out I received an email letting me know that they respond on a rolling basis. So I don’t know what that timeline looks like. What I’m curious to know is if I am denied for the fall (I applied late, mid-April), will my app be considered for the Spring.
  18. I agree about past posts being helpful, I have gone way back and there is definitely a lot of good insight from past and current students. I applied last month in hopes of being considered for fall but am a Ca resident and have reached out a few times to see if I can speak with someone about me being able to relocate for clinicals since my state is not accepted currently. Fingers crossed I hear back soon either way! ?
  19. Thank you guys for the feedback!! Have you heard much about how difficult it is to get in? Or do you know from personal experience? There is not a lot of information on this program as far as competitiveness, I cant tell what I am up against. When I googled acceptance rate it said only 19% are accepted.
  20. Well maybe that means we will hear back sooner than later....I am used to working with an admission counselor so that I know pretty early on where I stand. I have so many questions and feel like I’m bugging them LOL.
  21. Have you heard anything back yet? I reached out today and was told only that my app is under review and they reach out on a rolling basis. An older post mentioned applying and not hearing back for months so I am wondering what rolling means. As decisions are made or every few months....
  22. I just saw that mine are checked off as well. They weren't as of yesterday. I am really anxious to hear back and nervous as well. I googled Emory acceptance rate and it said 19%....is that accurate??
  23. This was what I was worried about. How soon id see that my application had been received amd was progressing....I am going to call them on Monday to ask. I really want to understand if my classes are all lining up or if I need to take anything to be eligible.
  24. Thank you guys so much! I really appreciate all of the information, it has made this process a lot less confusing. I am still waiting to hear back from the DABSN office regarding me currently living in Ca. I am able to relocate which I had told them in email so I am hoping where I currently live won't be a problem. I filled out my application last night and am now waiting for my transcripts to arrive so they can verify me. Does anyone know how long it took for them to get the process started? I know it is a long shot as I am starting this process so late but I am praying I may be considered for the fall start. My other concern is my old grades from literally 20 years ago are hurting my cumulative GPA. My current work is all A's and B's and I scored high on the TEAS. They said the TEAS score was not necessary but I sent it in anyhow to hopefully show them the student I am now. Regardless I am worried my cumulative GPA may make me a no go....my science GPA is fine though. Has anyone heard how many spots they may still have open for fall?
