  1. @Sca95 I am actually still in but I will be using state and federal TA to pay for school..well part of it. LOL. Since this program is crazy expensive I will be using private loans to fund the rest. But I have not talked to MNU yet, I guess I should get on that. My military situation is fluid right now because I am in the MO guard right now and ETS in August, so I'm planning on getting out and then re-enlisting into the KS guard so I can use state TA for school. It's a cluster right now ?
  2. @Sca95 My prerequisite GPA was I think 3.7 and my TEAS was an 80 I believe. I am a military medic as well but a paramedic on the civilian side now. I read past cohort forums where several people had stats a lot lower and still got in so you should be fine, assuming there are still spots available! Good luck!
  3. @Leigh2020 KC is a good place for concerts, sporting events, lots of good bars/food. I work all the time so I don't get out a whole lot. LOL. I have worked in an ER for almost 4 years as a tech and have worked on the streets for almost a year as a paramedic. I've learned a crap ton that I think will be quite helpful for nursing school.
  4. @Leigh2020 I grew up about an hour south of KC but have lived in KC for the last 3 years! The TEAS isn't very hard and they give you a basic calculator, you'll do fine. Does anyone else on here have prior healthcare experience?
  5. Hi everyone! I got accepted a couple of months ago and am very eager to start the semester! CONGRATS to those who have been accepted as well!
