Don’t allow it. I did and I failed the test and lost 4lbs in 2 days. It was sickening. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat. Ultimately... a learning lesson, it’s just a test that can be retaken, you will pass. For some reason the creators of NCLEX want all the nursing students in the world to feel as worthless as possible before getting their license to practice.

The form of question has no bearing on pass or fail rate. You could have all SATA and pass or fail, you could have all Multiple choice and pass or fail etc. everything I’ve read where people have gotten the results on “ hold “ pop up have passed, but they never got the other one after constantly checking. So if I were you I’d take a deep breath and relax. Take the next day or so and do some self care, keep busy. You deserve it.

chances are that’s the good pop up. I do wish I never did it in the first place, it added to a lot of my anxiety. I believe you passed, if so congratulations! I hope I’m as lucky. I would check your unofficial results 48 hours after you test. I’m finding that after the 2 days, results are uploaded every half hour and hour mark. I truly hope you passed:)

It’s my personal opinion that UWorld is harder. The wording and information in the questions is just extensive compared to NCLEX. So if you are doing UWorld and feeling confident then go for it. You have to take a breath and do each question at a time when you get in there

Practice answering NCLEX type questions. It’s a lot like Kaplan in difficulty level in my opinion. What are you scoring on UWorld?

NCLEX & The Trick
Yes as well as endotracheal. & I wouldn’t say simpler, just more straightforward questions. But the answers (unless it’s content based) are all great options, that’s where it gets tricky. You will do fine, do not over think it. I absolutely suggest shutting the time and number questions off, don’t pay any mind to that just focus on why you are in that room taking that exam. One question at a time.

I knew when scheduling it was a long shot since I only had 4 days to drill. I learned a lot using UWorld rationals as well as “simple nursing” on Youtube. That channel has a lot of “NCLEX tips” like words to look for... NCLEX “tricks”... I learned ALOT especially when reviewing meds (ACE inhibitors, Beta Blockers, ABX, Calcium Channel Blockers, Steroids, etc) I would absolutely suggest him if you struggle with Pharm. A lot of content was straight forward. I would suggest knowing side effects, treatments and interventions to your big topic areas (cardiac, respiratory, renal). ABC’s, Maslows, nursing process is a great way to answer all nursing questions. If you are able to utilize the decision tree... great! I personally felt the tree made things more challenging for me, after the Kaplan course everything seemed more difficult and I looked at each question as if I was trying to be tricked. NCLEX has no fluff in their questions. It it all need to know info. So if your answer doesn’t relate or apply to the question asked eliminate it. With that being said, I failed... I know 3 other people I graduated with who tested and passed and we all agree it is purely EDUCATED guesses all the way. We all felt lost, so don’t beat yourself up if you don’t know. GO WITH YOUR GUT. You will do great if you get a good nights sleep and take each question at a time. Dont allow anxiety to over run you liek I did. Good luck you GOT THIS, you are a future RN. Oh and KNOW YOUR LABS. (Including suction ranges)

So I failed. The PVT was accurate. The test was like Kaplan, only more straight to the point. The content was cut and dry you knew it or you didn’t. Basically educated guesses until the end. Good luck to anyone who’s waiting on results or getting ready to pass. I will be pushing forward and passing my second time, happy I did this to get an idea of what I’m in store for next time!

NCLEX & The Trick
Hi everyone, I’m an absolute ball of anxiety. I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday morning (02/08/2020) with the new COVID19 adjustments. I started at 8a and finished around 10:25a. I had all 130 questions. I received the confirmation email at 10:58a and I IMMEDIATELY (11a) tried the trick. I got the “bad pop-up” and I was able to register to take another NCLEX. I am beside myself, mentally physically and emotionally. I still haven’t received my quick results. I have done about a total of 950 UWorld questions, the first assessment I scored 41% with the average score being 56% the test said “low” chance of passing the NCLEX. I took that about 3 weeks prior to receiving my PTT. After receiving my PTT I scheduled for 5 days later. (Otherwise I would have to leave NY or wait until Sept 30th). I studied hard those few days and took the Kaplan Readiness test the two days before and scored 52% (which I believe was a 60-70% chance of passing the NCLEX). They could come anytime in the next 24hours. I am a mess, according to all the forums regarding the trick it is very accurate. However, I’ve also read that going all the way to 130 questions during these covid adjustments... theres could be a gray area? I know there is no true way for you to tell me but any info would help get me through the next day... day in a half. What do you think!?
