  2. I don’t understand because I got a 94 points even tho I thought It was a 95 for me the whole time and they said the cut off was a 94 but they still said the cutoff is 94 but I still am on the waitlist I think
  3. congrats girl!! happy for you!! when did they send the email??
  4. I haven’t gotten anything either, odd...but I will let y’all know once I do
  5. Yeah it's pretty stressful how there are no updates but I am sure everything will work out in our favor, good luck!! we got thissss
  6. I already deferred until the 15th for the other nursing program I got into because chico was supposed to have offers out by now, do you guys think they will send out offers today or at least let us know that the release date got pushed back by today !!
  7. I have 95 based on that nursing calculator online, but it probably is a little less depending on how they calculate it, how about everyone else? I don't have time! I hope they send it out based on the timeline from their website! stresssfffullll but good luck everyone, fingers crossed :))
  8. I agree, I got an extension until the 15th for the other CSU nursing program that I got offered a seat at, because Chico is my first choice. But I thought I would hear from Chico by now so it makes things stressful. Hopefully they send out letters today or tomorrow since that's what the website says!!
  9. I haven't heard anything either, which is odd. I don't know if that means I am on the waitlist or they just are still sending offers out? Not sure, but has anyone heard or not heard anything as well, tomorrow is the last day to hear!!
  10. has anyone had their interview yet? mine is soon and I am beyond nervous...any tips please?
  11. Hey! Does anyone know how accurate the Chico State nursing points calculator is? Also, how many points does everyone have and what do you guys think the points cutoff will be this for this Fall 2021? I have 94 points and am extremely worried because I have a feeling that the cutoff will be 95 this year for some reason. Thanks and good luck!
  12. Will look more into this, thank you!
  13. Thank you so much, this is super informative and I never really thought of my situation in this way!
  14. Thank you for all of this information!! What a great help. I will work a little more as a CNA and will definitely apply to all of the schools I can, regardless of if its in-state public or private/out-of-state schools The hard part is, is that even if I get in I cannot afford anything besides in-state publics!! And the science class that I got that ONE B IN for my community college does not allow for you to retake it, unless you got a D or F. Nursing is hardcore, that never really sunk in until these past couple of hours LOL. I will probably apply everywhere and then figure out the money situation later, but do you think that hypothetically if I only get in to the privates/out-of-state schools, loans and being in debt is worth going there quicker, instead of reapplying to in-state publics the following semester and/or year? I know that is a hard personal question, but what would you specifically do? And yes, I am 20 years old still.
  15. Hi! I am a fellow nursing student at my local community college, and have been working towards getting into SDSU for the BSN program for a while now. I have what I think are pretty good statistics with only one B in my science prerequisites, and around a 3.7 cumulative GPA. I just looked more into CSULB and SDSU and realized that my stats are not nearly good enough which is crazy to me, it is so insanely competitive! I do not know what to do now because the UC's have too many prerequisites that I am not able to fulfill (like calculus and ochem), and the privates/out-of-state schools are far too expensive for me. I feel that getting a loan is silly since where you go for nursing doesn't matter too much in terms of pay rate right, just that you get your BSN degree? Hence, privates/out-of-states should be out of the picture? Well I was really relying on getting into SDSU but now I realize that it is extremely unlikely (I calculated my points and compared it to previous years). I want to get into a cal state my first time applying, but what should I do to make my application stand out more - I already have taken majority of the prereqs and am going to take the TEA exam soon, plus I have some (very little )work experience as a CNA, I am not sure what else I can do!! Is there anyone else who got into a cal state with "average" statistics like me? I just need to know if I will get into a good CSU or if I should take out loans for private/out-of-states maybe? Thank you.
