  1. anyone accept their offers for pan city? hoping we can connect ?
  2. Hi everyone, I am starting my first nursing job in the med-surg/tele unit soon. Wasn't my first choice but can't complain because it was through a new grad residency program and I got the day shift I wanted... I'm seeing so many negative reviews about working in this dept med-surg/tele and that my job will mostly consist of hotel-like services LOL For those who survived, any tips that may be useful? maybe common drugs and diagnoses I should become familiar with? what my day-to-day may look like? and is it possible to transition out to a different field of nursing later on with this experience? thanks in advance!
  3. Hi, I think it was ortho, tele/med-surg but I'm not actually too sure LOL I couldn't really hear what she was saying but they just sent me an email to set up a call to go over the offer. They never mentioned how many ppl or the pay :(
  4. just got an offer from panorama city so be on the lookout for their call!
  5. I applied to two locations, LAMC and Panorama City, and only heard back for an interview from Pan so I think location is also a big factor.. I don't have any prior work or clinical experience besides my CNA job that I had for 2 years during my nursing school. Kaiser does offer interviews for people who don't have their license yet so I feel like one or two spots might open up later on for some locations..
  6. I am guessing an active CA license is a must prior to applying then.. I did 3 of my clinical rotations there with LORs from their internal workers, I was hoping I'd at least get a chance for an interview? good luck to everyone who scheduled their interviews though!!
  7. I don't think the locations mean anything because mine says Duarte but the application itself hasn't been updated since submission, which was the 8th. Does anyone know if COH requires a current license upon application? I have my BSN but am taking my NCLEX next week so I was wondering if this would automatically disqualify me :(
  8. If you interviewed with Panorama today, please share your experience!! Any information would be greatly appreciated!! (was it a group interview, what kind of behavioral and clinical scenario questions were asked, which units are offered)
  9. No, she didn't give me any other information but from what I've heard, it's most likely going to be an in-person group interview. If I don't receive any follow-up emails by Monday, I'm going to try to reach out to them for details.
  10. No offer yet, just an interview so far but I'm not an internal candidate. Wishing you the best this time around!!
  11. Just got a call for an interview for Panorama City. It was an 818 area code number for those who might want to know
  12. I see a lot of repeated questions regarding Mission and Burbank interviews so I am posting again for those who might have missed! If you didn't receive any emails after submitting the application, it means the interview spots for that location were filled up and have closed. The recruiter told me people "under consideration" will be moved to the interview stage in order of submission if they receive cancelations/withdrawals.
  13. I spoke to a recruiter and she told me "all interviews for Holy Cross have been filled. Once we receive any cancelations/withdrawals, we'll move candidates to interview stage in order of submission." I am guessing the same goes for Burbank as well. I wonder if they just filled up with internals.
  14. I completed my applications (Burbank, Mission) before 10 am and never got a text screening link for Mission. But both applications still say "under consideration" so I don't think those statuses mean much as of right now ? For one of the other locations, I actually withdrew my application because the pay/distance isn't worth it, and the status switched to "not retained" so I'm wondering if "not retained" just means the hospital never got the application. Maybe you should contact the recruiter and ask if this is an error because it's only been a day, I don't think they would reject your application like that.
  15. I'm not an internal candidate but from the snapshot questionnaires, it seems like you can still upload files to your profile so just upload it asap! Worst case, they'll probably ask about you if they see that you're an internal or I guess you can ask your manager to put in some words for you if you're applying to the same location.
  16. Thank you so much for sharing!! It says the application closes at 12 pm EST and 9 pm PST. With the time difference, I'm assuming it should be 9 am. Was anyone able to clarify this information with the host? I just applied last night but am just wondering when it closes ?
  17. Hi!! Where do you see the information about the application opening on the 18th? I've been looking everywhere and don't see anything regarding nursing residency in the Southern California area, just stuff related to fellowship or preceptorship
  18. Hello everyone! Posting to stay updated. Does anyone know what exactly Career Snapshot is? And is there a time commitment for the new graduate residency? (like you need to work at least 2 years for us after the completion of the residency)
  19. Hello, I am trying to apply for the program next year. I had my BS in biological science at a university as a pre-pharm student, and still have to take some prereqs for this program. If you don't mind, could you explain to me what you mean by the three GPAs? On their site, it says that they'll look at either the last 60 semester GPA or cumulative, whichever is higher, but it also says they look at science GPA so I'm trying to see if that is overall science GPA or science GPA just from your 60 semester units.
