Yes I think so too since it doesn't seem as though COVID is going anywhere any time soon! This would be the best time to get that experience and also not have to sit out a semester for lack of clinicals. But is the issue with school not allowing clinical or difficulty finding sites/preceptor or both?

Hello and thanks so much for your response! One class at a time would be even better but don't mind the 2 every 10 weeks either. I just feel like 3 would be overwhelming! It does seem like there's alot of changes with every new group so I do hope they are improving on previous issues. I am encouraged that clinicals start later in the program as I will need to start searching for preceptors! I don't know which cohort I am, we start in August but still waiting on more info. I pray COVID conditions improve and hopefully the school will help with finding placement as well so you don't have to sit out a semester! When are you slated to finish?

Thanks Debra for your response! I am excited to start this journey to NP! When did you start? Is the 10 week semester new post-COVID? Also, please can you share your schedule, just need an idea of how classes progress and when clinicals begin as I start to search for preceptors:) You can email me too if it's [email protected]. Thanks so very much!

Hello ReturningRNStudent, I was just accepted into the Fall 2020 FNP program. I was informed that the schedule is 2 classes every 10 weeks. Could you please provide me with the course schedule for an idea on how the classes progress? Also, was any assistance provided with clinical placement? What has your experience been with finding preceptors? I am worried about this especially during COVID and availability of preceptors and sites:( Grateful for any info or advice you can offer! Thanks!
