  1. It says that we’d be selected for a second interview by the first week. ? that hasn’t happened for me so I think that means we don’t get moved to the next round. Week 2 is for all the second interviews
  2. Anyone else hear from Surg Div 2? Specifically M5?
  3. Oh man I feel like you’re way more qualified than me but I hope you get other offers ❤️ You’re killin it!!
  4. I feel like there’s no clear cut answer unless you ask HR. By 5 years of direct patient care, you don’t mean RN experience right? Also you have your RN license right? I also chose one hospital. im so sorry ? I would definitely email them and ask.
  5. What time did they call you? I just wanna know when the latest they’ll call will be
  6. I literally cried after LOL I think I did bad! HAHA You did amazing though I'm totally guessing who you are based on MB haha but probably tomorrow I feel like we were the last ones for today so they need to take time to decide!
  7. The units are different! Stanford offers Neurosurgery, Surgical Trauma, Transplant, ENT/Plastics, Orthopedics, Cardiac Surgery/Transplant/LVAD, Cardiothoracic/Vascular/Transplant, Surgical, Surgical Oncology For Div 2: Cardiac Surgery/Transplant/LVAD Cardiothoracic/Vascular/Transplant Surgical Oncology Hepatology, Nephrology, Liver and Kidney Transplant Colorectal Surgery, Urology-Surgery & Oncology SO Div 1 has the rest!
  8. I had a clinical at kasier in southern california. as for scholarships -none. but I had 700+ volunteer hours. I didn't really write a long essay in the snapshot (it was like 4 sentences LOL I didn't know it was a big part of the selection process). I had a high GPA in nursing school but I also have another bachelors in biology. I also have all my licenses/certifications. I applied last round and didn't have my NCLEX passed so I didn't get anything.
  9. For those who got second interviews for Surgical Div 2, what day is your second interview?
  10. I got an interview for Santa Clara!
  11. Is this surgical div 1 or 2? also you got this!
  12. Anyone who has an interview see their portal change? I just saw that there were applications to the units I got interviews for on my portal.
  13. My written responses were short! About a 12 sentence paragraph? I emphasized on the e lesson learned and what it brought to my practice. Don’t give up! I applied first round with the same stats (minus RN license.
  14. I’m in the same boat but for SM ED!
  15. OMG yay!! What unit and which hospital? ?
  16. Has anyone heard an update?
  17. A hospital in SoCal! I'm looking to move to norcal; that's why I applied for kaiser. Is your trauma one hospital in norcal? Do you think it's possible to do two jobs? I found it so hard to schedule anything because I'm following my preceptor's schedule LOL.
  18. Can I ask why you want to go to kaiser? My end goal is to ER at a trauma hospital. Funny because I'm an ER new grad right now as well, LOL, but at a non-trauma hospital.
  19. Has anyone been contacted for an interview?
  20. Yup! For med 1 they’re hiring 15! yeah ED was my top choice but I didn’t get an interview—but the fact that she got an interview is good!! They’re interviewing 20 and hiring 2! The HR person told me 400+ people applied for ED itself!
  21. Hello! When did you get your interview for ED? I think they’re hiring 2 for ED!
  22. Also wanted to add on- if you do fail your NCLEX however, your offer won’t be safe. ?
  23. Hello guys! So (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) just wanted me to relay a message to you guys since a lot of you have emailed the New Grad email about this... Stanford DOES accept interim permits. Multiple nurses on the last cohort had them and most of the nurses were out of state nurses. They still accept them. Karly also wanted to emphasize that they do NOT pick out those with a license first. She mentioned that 50% of the ICU invite candidates have an NCLEX date pending. She mentioned that they rule out those who don't have all their applications and then score from there. They never look at license/NCLEX, BLS/ACLS as a reason to not offer an interview. For this cohort, she wants you to have a license (perm or temp) by August 8th at midnight. She mentioned that the last cohort literally had 20+ offers get their license the week before the deadline and that it's pretty common. ? Best of luck guys!!
