  1. Hi All, I am an RN who is going to be taking over scheduling at my Ambulatory Surgery Center. Previously, we really haven't had a definitive system for scheduling. We are an extremely busy center. Most of our positions are flex positions ranging from 30-36 hours / week. Most RNs work 3-4 days a week. Some nurses had set days, others are more flexible with their days. Our system right now is mainly my manager creating a schedule off vacation requests / requested off days. I am working on rostering rules so nurses have guidelines when they go to self schedule with my peers. I am looking for a solution for my ASC to change over from paper to electronic self scheduling. I have used webscheduler in the past which to me was easy, but I'm not sure how much it costs or if there are better systems. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good scheduling software thats worked within their units/facilities, why some software is better than others, and if any free scheduling software has been effective for anyone. Any and all input is greatly appreciated. Thank You!
