Hi there, I am wondering if there is anyone that has been in a similar situation as me.. I graduated with my RN in 2008 in Michigan. I ended up staying home with my daughter and then two years later, twins. We moved to Oregon in 2018 and I was told that I could not receive an Oregon endorsement for lack of practice hours. I was also told that I would need to complete a nursing degree and then I would be eligible. So I completed my BSN last month. I am trying to apply online for endorsement but it only asks for the school that you graduated from that allowed you to take your NCLEX and a couple other tests that I can’t remember the name of. It doesn’t seem to take into consideration the BSN. Anyhow, has anyone been in a similar situation and was successful in receiving an Oregon endorsement? The OSBN is not taking calls right now so it has been difficult to speak to anyone. Thank you!

Hello, I’m just looking for some guidance. I graduated in 2008 with my ADN and then stayed home with our newborn daughter. We moved multiple times after that due to my husbands work so I never did gain any work experience. I am currently enrolled to begin a BSN program, but I guess my question is, would I even be able to find work as a nurse once I graduate without any work experience? Also, my license is not in the state that I reside (Oregon) and cannot be moved here without work experience. Where do I even start? Am I wasting my time trying to renter this career without starting at step one again? I would greatly appreciate any advise. Thank you, Sarah
