Hi, So I used a Littman Classic III stethoscope for years as a paramedic and can speak highly of it. It does not eliminate ambient noise nor noise from your fingers on the bell entirely, but most stethoscopes don't. That being said, even in a noisy ambulance I was able to clearly auscultate breath sounds, heart sounds, and obtain a manual blood pressure with no problem. As far as comparing Littman to your MDF stethoscope, which MDF model do you have? The dual tube or the single tube? -Sage
