  1. I’m not sure how to reply to posts on here. I started a facebook page for the fall 2021 cohort on facebook if you would like to join that page. I know it has really helped in the past with getting to know others in our cohort and helping each other remember everything that will be coming at you in the orientation. my name on facebook is kara edeker
  2. Congrats to you both!! Are you both already LPN’s?
  3. Fantastic!! Congratulations!! you’ll have to request the group on facebook. And friend request me!!
  4. @12rmc Did you get in?
  5. I’m sure we could start it out that way. But I’m sure that you guys would probably want your own group at some point since your studies will be different.
  6. That’s awesome!! Yeah, one of my Microbiology classmates said she got hers this week.
  7. After we were notified and accepted we started a facebook page which I will probably go ahead and do for our cohort. I know that once we went to orientation we were told we needed to add Karin to the page also. So we will be doing that as well. It was a great source for all of us, during the Summer, because we all helped each other remember what we needed to get done and how before our first day. I went ahead and set the group up. Please wait until you have been extended the offer to the program and you have accepted the offer, to request to be added to the page. Thank you guys! And good luck to you all!! The group is a private group meaning only members can see who the members are. But I have kept it public for being able to be searched and found.
  8. I was accepted to the fall 2020 program and started it and withdrew for personal reasons. I will be in the fall 2021 program. My total points were 109. I also know that a few people that didn’t get in and were on the standby list ended up getting placed in the program at the last minute. From what I understand the selections are being made this month and everyone should be notified this month. Last month was agonizing waiting because of Covid, because everything was be figured out all over again. I don’t recall us finding out until May.
  9. Did you get yours? Did you get yours?
  10. Well, I'd say you are in then.
  11. CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE! As far as I saw in this chat I was among the lower points with 109. So, most of ya'll are in.
  12. I got mine at 2:20. My points were 109! I GOT IN!!
  13. It is a lot of stress.
  14. for sure! At least my semester grades posted today. Now waiting on Tuesday!
  15. Agreed. I think they changed it to access what they needed to in our records and changed it back when they were done. I'm not stressing over that.
  16. Yeah I don't think the change is indicative of anything as to if we are accepted or not. Honestly even once offered a place there are still more things to do to qualify to get into the program. So, who knows when they really change our status with the school. We still have to pass background checks, get immunizations, CPR certifications, etc. and there are possibly some people who have had changes and maybe do not accept the seat, right?
  17. Degreeworks went back to normal today
  18. yes it is definitely competitive. I've had people tell me that getting your LPN basically guarantees you getting into the ASN program. But the LPN program at the Tech college does not fit my hours for raising my daughter at all. I've got to do my best to get in.
  19. Dr. Mac told us that 300+ people apply each semester to the nursing program. There are a total of 36 regular seats available and 12 LPN seats available. Good Luck to all.
  20. I saw that in this thread. Not sure if I have the time now to get it taken again. I'm taking classes over the Summer as it is. I have two sciences left to have all of my classes except the nursing ones done.
  21. I'm not surprised they were getting calls about it. False hope. darn it. So still stressing on this. Cannot wait until Tuesday.
  22. Definitely won't lose hope but for sure nervous. I just want to know already. I really thought I'd ace the anatomy part of the HESI and that would have put my score at 129. I'm not at all happy with how I did on that part. I took A&P 1 like 14 years ago self study, it wasn't online then it was called distance learning, you went for an orientation and got your syllabus and you came in for midterm and turned in your work and for a final and turned in your work and that was it. I really feel like I need to retake it to refresh myself, but all my nurse friends told me no. A&P 2 has been a struggle but I think I've pulled an A there. Still feel like I should retake 1 though.
  23. Yeah, I'm not sure what to make of the changes to our majors. I've not heard anyone yet, say that theirs didn't change to that. I'm worried my 109 isn't enough. My GPA is 3.43 and will be 3.46 after this semester. The tie breakers are supposed to come down to just your HESI scores and your GPA and the GPA can actually get someone in over someone with better HESI scores. Just praying that I've done enough to get in.
  24. I requested to join the facebook page.
  25. I got my points email as well. My degree works does say nursing.
