  1. Woohoooo! Looking forward to working together!
  2. So exciting! Hopefully we will hear something by the middle of the week
  3. Hii! No I haven’t! My unit are you on? I’m in the neurosurgical ICU!
  4. Amazing! Really appreciate this
  5. Oh wow! Thank you! Did they specify for how many weeks or months?
  6. Has anyone received the schedule yet? If so anyone know how many days we are doing simulations a week?
  7. Also, this is from an ICU manager at Lenox Hill about how the program is supposed to run for Critical Care! "The program runs for one year and is divided into three phases. The first phase is spent in the classroom where the fellows will work directly with our educators off-unit to establish the knowledge base necessary to work within the critical care setting. They will participate in weekly simulations at Northwell’s Center for Learning and Innovation on Long Island in a high-fidelity lab during this phase. The first phase lasts approximately 2-3 months. The second phase is the orientation phase and is spent on the unit with a preceptor. During this phase, fellows will apply the knowledge learned during their time in the classroom, have an opportunity to hone their skills, and become well-accustomed to the flow of the unit. The orientation phase lasts approximately 3-4 months. The third phase is the working phase. Fellows will complete their orientation and be independent on the unit. During this phase, they are paired with a unit mentor to serve as an additional clinical resource besides unit leadership. This phase lasts approximately 6 months."
  8. I am starting at Lenox Hill as well! Starting salary is about 102k, plus 6k for night shift, and then a little over $1000 for having a BSN.
  9. Thank you!! She needs all your references to be completed by those 5 people in order to send you the offer letter. I would call her if everyone already filled out the survey and I would ask for an update! If we have the same recruiter, she answered phone calls better than her emails! Feel free to private message me if you have any specific questions!
  10. The recruiter asking for references is an amazing sign!! It took a few days after all my references submitted their references to be given an offer letter. I would make sure all your references filled out the survey! If they did, I would call the recruiter and ask for an update.
  11. Wait I’m dumb! You said your new job is at LIJ which is Northwell. Still have a sanding opportunity! Plus maybe after 6 months you could transfer
  12. Did you withdraw the application yourself or did Northwell? Because I would still go forth with the in person interview if it’s available to you!
  13. Still an amazing accomplishment! Congrats!
  14. Just in case anyone was still looking to apply - they just listed a few more October Fellowships!
  15. I applied early July and I got a call from the recruiter mid august. Interviewed the following week with the unit. II had another offer at the time so I kind of pressured them to speed up the process so I could make a decision! So I called the recruiter a couple days later to get an update and she said I had an offer. Try to push back your current offer!
  16. Yes! ---------------------- came back from vacation today I believe I got a call within 1 day
  17. NYP- Cornell has a CCU, CTICU, Neuro ICU, SICU, MICU, Burn ICU, Pediatric ICU and I believe 1 more At Lenox Hill - their SICU is now converted into the neurosurgical ICU
  18. @newnurse1999 what unit are you interested in? Because Lenox hill only has 4 ICUs
  19. Yea starting. It’s probably the lowest amount among the top NYC hospitals. Without any differentials NYU and Siani start at 105k and NYP-Cornell starts at 108k.
  20. Yes ---------------------- is my recruiter! She’s in charge of the fellowship program
  21. No problem! Good luck to everyone!
  22. Start Date is October 24. I’m at Lenox Hill! So it’s Unionized and no pay difference for the fellowship. There is an education differential is you have a bachelors or a masters. I was offered nights and I have a masters in nursing as well. It’s about $110,000 before overtime. I don’t know the exact break down per hour I will say it is slightly less than other NYC hospitals (not by a lot but by a few thousand)
  23. Also the start date is October 24th!
  24. I received an offer for Critical Care! I applied beginning of July, did the on demand video about 2 weeks ago, interviewed early last week, and received my verbal offer that same week, and received my offer letter this Monday. Just a heads up the recruiter in charge of the fellowships is on vacation until September 7th, so I wouldn’t expect much until after then
