My name is Casey. I graduated from Liberty University in the top 10% of my class. I started out as a new grad in a 32 ICU. I received 9 months of orientation which made me the nurse I am today. I have worked in multiple hospitals, including Duke University Surgical Trauma Transplant ICU and George Washington University Hospital ICU. I have experience in CVICU, MICU, SICU, CCU, and NICU (Neuro not neonatal). I was runner up for the Daisy award in 2016. I began teaching in January of 2019 and progressed to becoming the Dean of Nursing in December of 2019. I currently have a 100% NCLEX pass rate. I am TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certified. I was a flight nurse for three months but was forced to resign due to experiencing a seizure while en route with a patient. This was a totally new onset of seizure activity and was unexpected. I am about to graduate from NP school in which I specialized in psychiatry. I also will receive my MSN Education. Teaching has always been my passion, I loved precepting both student nurses and new hire nurses. I stay to make it a priority to stay current with medical advancements. When tutoring, I break topics down so that they are easy to understand and comprehend. I believe test-taking is a skill and before starting specific subjects, I like to go over how to answer nursing questions. I take pride in my work and my main priority is for my students to succeed.
