No, you can apply for the fall 2021 nursing department term as long as you have met the prerequisite requirements by the time the fall 2021 application is opened. For example: Fall 2020- apply to csusb as a pre-nursing student for the fall 2021 term. Winter/ early Spring 2021- you will find out if you were accepted into the university as a pre-nursing student. Spring 2021- application for the nursing department opens up for fall 2021 When completing your university application they just want you to indicate that you would like to be admitted as a pre-nursing/nursing student.

Does anyone have any idea of how many clinical/ lab days we will have this semester? Trying to plan out work now....

Hi! I actually work in a grocery store! It’s pretty demanding physically so it’s definitely not always easy but I really believe it can be done with the right organization techniques. I am lucky enough to work with a large group of people so I have the option of giving away shifts and don’t have the kind of job where responsibility lands all on my shoulders. I can kind of just “check out” if I’m there and feeling tired from school LOL

I was convinced that there was no way I would get in because I’m not a local. Work hard, stay positive, stay organized, and try to have super competitive grades and TEAS scores. I would also plan to apply to as many places as you can and not put all of your hope into one school! Yes I believe they want everything electronically from now on. On the acceptance email they indicated that they should be sent to an email address- so I took that as them wanting an electronic copy of final transcripts.

Here’s mine: TEAS 89% pre req: 4.0 overall GPA: 3.8 non resident Not bilingual but I may have had enough transcript credits for Spanish courses to be considered “bilingual”- not really sure. I took one year in high school and one semester in college which I was told equates to two years. I’m not sure if they looked at that and factored it in but I did indicate that I wasn’t “bilingual” on the app.

I got in touch with them today and they told me all lectures will be online and half way through the semester there will be on site labs or clinical assigned- which would mean we wouldn’t do anything in person until mid october (around that time)

Hi! I will be working throughout school too! I know the program will be harder but I managed to go full time for all of my pre reqs and GE courses and still work 5 days a week. I’ll probably need to cut down a day if necessary but I still plan to work because I live on my own and have bills as well ? I think being VERY organized and planning your day out is key!

Same here. It’s also just been all over the place trying to contact the nursing dept in general. At least in my experience they haven’t responded to any questions or inquiries Via email since I first decided to apply there. That issue started well before covid

I’m getting the same emails from admissions and natural sciences for about a week now. Such a let down. I’m pretty frustrated with how the whole process has been and I think it’s pretty unfair to those of us who have to make decisions in regards to schools, housing, and Spring apps.

Anyone remember how many spots are available at each campus?

Hi there! Did you receive any receipt from the school saying that all of your documents were received? I haven’t heard anything but I know it’s only May 4th!

I actually turned in all of the paper work in person (after the info session) except for my transcripts, but yeah the post office usually only gives me vague tracking information

The only tracking my institution provided said that it was “out for delivery” around the second week of March. So hopefully it arrived and is just being held until they can sort through everyone’s stuff. I didn’t apply anywhere else because I actually have one prereq in progress right now and csusb was pretty much the only school that allowed up to two classes to be in Progress during the application period. I’ll definitely be applying to as many as I can for Spring semester this Summer! Thank you for the reply and good luck to you!!

The ones sent straight to the Nursing department for the BSN application! I have already gotten all of my paper work in to admissions and got accepted as a prenursing student.

I applied too: pre req: 4.0 overall: 3.8 TEAS: 86% non resident non bilingual I’ve actually been pretty discouraged from other threads because it doesn’t seem like non residents usually get in...but I’m hoping for the best Did anyone get confirmation of their transcripts being received? I sent in my transcripts beginning of March. I know there are delays in the craziness but I never got any reply back to multiple emails. I'm just hoping it all got there safe and sound

Hi guys! Has anyone gotten an email from the department saying their transcripts were received? I sent mine in the 2nd week of March and nobody has returned any of my emails. I’m getting a bit panicked. I’m worried about not getting in because I am not a resident or bilingual prereq GPA: 4.0 overall GPA: 3.7 TEAS: 86%
