  1. Let me clarify: they DO NOT require BLS card for application. But when I spoke with the advisor (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), she told me to submit any documents/certifications for the application package to “look better/stand out” and she mentioned BLS. I got it done near my job the same day and submitted it. Link: https://www.heartstartny.com/ (class is $85, with $10 off code available on their website) recert is every two years and school is only 18 months. It’s not a bad investment for me cos I know once I start working as a nurse in my hospital, it’s covered - as in class will be free and you get paid your regular RN hourly rate to attend the class. St. Paul’s is a private school, they don’t care, they just want your money. It seems like their admissions is also on a rolling basis. So take advantage of it by applying early. For as long as school is closed, they’ll waive the HESI. My advice would be score as high as possible on the wonderlic and give them as many documents as you can gather during this climate. I don’t have a scanner at home, so I just took pictures on my phone, converted to PDF’s and emailed to (MODERATOR EDIT). Stay focused and stay positive. I read that some schools in the US are loosening the criteria for nursing programs because of covid and impending nursing shortage. If you are not 100% confident with St. Paul’s, apply to a few different schools.
  2. Yes, I did. I figured things won’t get lost in the shuffle if you send everything in one package, especially in this climate.
  3. In the meantime, just get all your paperwork’s ready. Personal statement, at least two recommendations letters, 3 references, official/unofficial transcripts, BLS cert, etc. I’m not sure how they determine who gets accepted since it’s only a one step entrance exam now. But maybe the more complete your application package, the more likely you’ll get accepted? I did score 28/30 on the short wonderlic. good luck everyone and stay safe!
  4. Queens for day class starting 5/4. Since school is closed, they are doing Wonderlic only but the short version - 8 mins, 30 questions, the minimum passing grade is 22. No HESI since they can’t deliver the test remotely. I took the wonderlic on 4/15 and submitted all the documents the same day. They called me the following week to inform me that I got accepted.
  5. They called me and email me with the acceptance last week. I already did the online orientation.
  6. Same here. I haven’t gotten anything in the mail nor a phone call. ?
  7. Did anyone get acceptance letter for Summer 2020 yet? Class to start on 5/5.
