  1. @leadshopeful I haven't but that's what mystatus said!
  2. I wasn't accepted... which honestly I expected! I wanted to stay in Austin but this program isn't as holistic as others! I wish you all the best and I will have a tough time making a decision to the other schools I was accepted to! I recommend you all to look at other programs as well! Good luck!
  3. @SaarahA Did your mystatus change or did you just receive an email from tracy?
  4. Is there a facebook group/groupme for accepted students?
  5. I'm gonna think this through but I will probably end up telling Tracy I'm out by the end of the week. If I were to be accepted to UT I would be accepted to LeADs which is still an honor but like I got accepted to other programs and would actually be able to do what I want to from the getgo :((( it really is just hard because I wanted to stay in Austin ahhHH. @Gabby Chavez I don't think they really care if we were to pull out ://
  6. I think I'm also going to let go of UT... I understand they have received an influx of applications but so has everyone else ://
  7. Yes! I've been accepted to other schools but I was really hoping to stay in Austin because of $$$ but I also don't have much time to wait! I have until March 1st to make a decision to most of the other schools and that doesn't give me much time if I don't hear back from UT.
  8. UT was the first school I applied to this cycle and I've heard back from 3 schools that I applied after October 1st... ?
  9. Are we supposed to just do the FAFSA for 2021-2022 even though it starts in the Summer??? So many programs require different things so IDK! I'll send my stats later!
  10. I was accepted for peds primary care and I can't believe it But I did not receive a scholarship letter?
  11. @themaiapapaya Thank you for sharing ☺️! I wish you the best! Have you applied elsewhere? The wait game really has been stressing me out!
  12. I didn't say it was anything new I was just saying that there has been an influx of applications for each specialty. With that being said, I feel like that's generally the same number of people they typically interview!
  13. @katiekatie Because of the pandemic a lot of people have been inspired to become a nurse, and because of that there's been an influx of applications across the nation including UT. I applied for cns and was told to reapply for leads as a lot of people, so I emailed tracy asking for basic advice on how to make myself a strong applicant. She said she would tell me after the process was over but she also told me there was a record number of applicants this time around ?
  14. @calinurse97 I have no idea how many people were interviewed but I feel like a lot of people were? Especially with the influx of applications ?
  15. Understandable! But I would take into consideration that ALL schools are in the same/similar situation... so anywhere you go at this point in time would offer there classes online for the safety of everyone ya know. So you may want to consider holding off until they start offering more classes in person, but that might not be until fall of next year? No one really knows you know.
  16. I think we should assume that it will mostly be online since we're still in a pandemic and most people haven't been vaccinated ☹️. I'm not sure how much can change between now and like May/June.
  17. I also have yet to receive my decision but: - BSA in Nutrition with a Pre-Health Professions Certificate/Minor in Sociology (I also graduate in May) - overall GPA (thus far): 3.24 -prereqs: psych- A, stats- B, anatomy- A, physiology- A, microbio-B, nutrition- A - I worked as a CNA for like 6 months before college but had to stop working because I don't have a car with me at my university (LOL parking is expensive) - I have quite a bit of volunteer experience and have done things such as volunteering at a local hospital for a few months, volunteering at a local food pantry and church to help give out food, and I've volunteered abroad with GMT in the Dominican Republic. In November I started working as a research assistant in a study testing the effects of increased protein in adolescents who don't typically eat breakfast. But that was postponed due to COVID but hopefully, I can go back this semester ☹️ - I transferred my first year of undergrad to my current university so I also have prereqs scattered around lmao I applied to peds and I'm hoping for the best but I'm a little scared with my GPA ahah
  18. @UTph I think there are multiple professors conducting interviews and they are given a number of people to interview and are supposed to complete them by a certain deadline. I wish I knew how many people applied, but I do know they received an influx of applications as all nursing schools have.
  19. Hey guys! I had my interview yesterday for LeaDs and I think it went well? Can't say for sure though because I was quite nervous. I received an email from IdentoGO about scheduling a fingerprint appt. I know Tracy said we should be receiving an email from TXBon so I just want to make sure this is the correct service. Did anyone else receive this email thanks guys!
  20. *LeaDs gosh
  21. Hey guys so I applied to AG CNS but did not receive an interview and was told I could move my app to LeADs on Dec. 1st. I just received an email for an LeADs interview! I wish you all the best! Also I'm currently attending UT and will graduate in the Spring.
  22. @Ndkskdjd No not yet ://
  23. @NinaD I'm also sorry that you didn't get an interview in PMHNP! When did you get the email? Thank you for sharing this information with us!
  24. @SamSS I still haven't heard anything! Mystatus still says that my application has been forwarded to the grad committee!
  25. What... I didn't know it was that competitive...that's scary. Does anyone know how many people applied?
