  1. Thank you guys a lot for your honest replies. I am going to go forward and take some higher level sciences and possibly retake some basic classes. I’m currently in Neuro IMCU and I’ll be on the look out for Neuro ICU positions. I’ll probably join some committees at my job to strengthen my application. Thank you again
  2. Hello fellow nurses, I am considering applying to CRNA school in the future. The school I am applying to requires the following: Commutative GPA: 3.57 Nursing Course GPA: 3.56 Science GPA: 3.28 I, however, have a nursing GPA of 3.02. It’s also important to note that this is the only school I am applying to because it is free to attend since I am an employee at the hospital of the University. I have a 2-3 years before I decide to apply and want to do everything I can to assure I have a strong application. But that is where I am lost, I don’t know what the correct steps are? What do you recommend? Retake courses? Go for a MSN before? I’m a first generation high school graduate, college graduate, and nurse. Navigating through school has been difficult as I had to figure everything out as I went along. Your help is greatly appreciated.
  3. Hey! I have two interviews coming up this week for Rush (ambulatory Neuro and Neuro IMCU). Hoping I get hired for one of them! Do you don’t mind sharing, how much did they offer as your hourly rate?
  4. I hope to hear you did well, I tested May 19th and passed. I plan on making a post on methods that helped me.
  5. Hello! I graduated from nursing school Dec 2019. My school made us take the ATI Comp and I scored a 70%(?) which meant I had a high chance of passing NCLEX the 1st time I test. I took NCLEX in Jan liar y with minimal studying. I took about 230 questions and left the exam knowing I failed. I received my results and it confirmed my guess - I failed. I had a little breakdown but continued to study and took the In-Person Kaplan review in early March. I scored between 53 to 65% on all my Kaplan question trainers. I went over rationales, did everything they asked. I felt prepared and extremely confident. I was scheduled to test March 25th. I was positive I passed. It was an extreme blow when I found out I failed. I was devastated, I did everything Kaplan asked, all my scores showed I had a high chance of passing. I studied consistently and thoroughly. I don’t know what went wrong. I'm scheduled to test again in mid May (but will reschedule if I’m not feeling confident). I’ve been doing study questions and I am scoring well but I feel I need something else. What helped you pass the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th time around?
