  1. Hello! I started out my nursing career in the OR. I absolutely loved my OR internship as a student nurse. When I took my first job as a nurse it was in the OR, however my experience at this new hospital was very unsupportive of new nurses learning and I ended up leaving after 6 months. Since then I have worked on a kidney/ liver transplant floor and a cardiac step-down floor, however I miss my OR days. Of course starting my career as a nurse at the beginning of the pandemic did not help things. I want to apply to an OR job but am wondering how that would look after I left and such a long time away from the OR. Any tips on how to spin this in a good way on my resume and in an interview? Thanks so much!!
  2. Hi all, I am looking at graduate programs and trying to decide between getting my MSN-MPH dual degree or just doing a traditional MSN with an emphasis on public/ global health. I am wondering if anyone has experience with either of these degrees and could answer a few questions: 1. Was the degree a good return on investment? 2. How soon were you able to find a job in the field you wanted? 3. What is the career outlook for these degrees? 4. I read everywhere that you can get jobs in clinics, health departments, schools, faith departments, community organizations, NGOs, etc. but they never actually state what you would be doing there or the responsibilities of the job. Any insight? My goal is to work in some sort of leadership capacity, possibly education later on in the future. I am very active doing mission work abroad and would really like to continue that. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
