Did anyone on the alternate list end up getting an interview invite?

I got my rejection letter 2/16.

I interviewed back in December. I still haven't heard anything (good or bad). I have applied to this program before, and I received the bad news (not accepted/waitlisted) the same day people got acceptance letters. I keep telling myself, no news is good news. Finger crossed for everyone still waiting!

Interview notification emails were sent out mid-late November for the 2020 applicant cohort last year. I'm assuming it will be the same for our applicant cohort as well.

It just has me anxious. My thought process is that wouldn’t they select 75-100 people to interview and narrow it down to 50 (or whatever the cohort size for that class would be)? Rather than only interviewing a few at a time. I just want to know what exactly does that ^ email mean. Because there are some scheduled to interview around July 12-14 and some to interview around July 26. I hope I still have a shot! Trying to stay positive. Thanks for the reply!

Is this a denial email? I think so but other people (friends I know in the program) say it’s not.

@estiles I applied this year for 2021. What was said in your denial letter? Was it worded in a way saying “with on going interviews at the moment you are not selected for an interview at this time but this is not a final decision for your possible placement in the program.” Or was it a more straight forward email?

For those that didn’t get the interview email today.. they may be sending out emails day by day. I highly doubt they sent out all interview emails in one day. Keep your heads up and check your emails frequently this week.

Just submitted my application today. Had to send reminders to two of my letter of rec.
