  1. I live in Sacramento and I had to drive to Folsom for mine. I took it at Lab Corp.
  2. I believe you should've received a link inside your acceptance letter that takes you to the deposit. Then there's an option to accept or decline, that's all I can vaguely remember from when I did it.
  3. When I got rejected the first time they flat out told me I was rejected. I believe you are on a waitlist and if a lot of people don't accept their decision letters then you will be given their spots.
  4. Congrats! Which school did you decide to go to?
  5. Hello, For the first sem of clinical's new nursing students will mainly use the skills lab in order to practice nursing skills. Once a student is tested and proves that he/she is competent then we are assigned a clinical setting in one or more hospitals that USFCA is partnered with. I tried to find the hospitals USFCA is partnered with but I wasn't able to, some of the hospitals I can remember at the top of my head were; Mark Zuckerberg Hospital, UCSF Medical Center, Kaiser, Sutter, Veterans hospital, etc. There were about 30-40 Hospitals on the list. Hope this helps.
  6. It says that decision notifications begin December 10th for Spring!
  7. Hello, My stats were around 3.8 overall, and 4.0 in Sciences only have 10 hours of volunteer, 1AA with honors, and bilingual. I don't think having an in-progress would affect their decision as much, I believe that the essays would have a greater impact. Hope to see you in my cohort!
  8. Hi Momo, I didn't turn in a letter of rec, although I did have one. I recently attended an online Q&A for the nursing program at USF and I remember the counselors saying not to turn letters of rec because they won't even take the time to read it.
  9. I believe it's worth applying, they also have fee waivers for the application which should be taken advantage of! For the fall semester, they take 30 students and Spring 60 students. I know a few people that attended USF but not for nursing(they took Law) and they loved it. I personally chose USF because I liked that they had connections with many of the major hospitals around SF(from the list I saw about 15-20 hospitals). As for your GE's it depends on which ones. If you have all your sciences finished you should be fine. I agree that three years is quite long but for myself personally, I thought it would be better than not accepting and then waiting more years to get accepted into a "top" school. Not to say that USF is not a top school, they have great stats as well, I believe their NCLEX passing rate was 91% for over 200 students. The other school I got into which was an ADN only had a passing rate of 80% with only 100 students.
  10. Hi Momo, I don't believe USF has rolling admissions. I initially applied for the fall program and got accepted for fall. However, USF offered to start me in Spring because I had all my prerequisites and other supplementary classes finished. People that start in fall usually have one or two prerequisites they need to finish to start their clinicals.
  11. Hi Lian, I got into other programs but they were all ADN(SJDC, SCC, ARC), and I chose to go with USF because I wanted to finish my BSN in one place. It's true I could bridge from ADN to BSN but I didn't want to go through the hassle of applying again and having to settle in a new program. One other reason I chose to go to USF was that they offered me a 15k scholarship for my whole program. This only comes to 45k a year but along with FAFSA I found it sufficient for my needs. I also liked that USF had clinical partnerships with many of the top hospitals in the bay, hope this helps and CONGRATS!
  12. Hello I didn't see any articles relating to USFCA's BSN program Sp 21 so I decided to make one myself. I applied for the Fall 2020 program but got an offer for Spring 2021 instead. I was wondering if anyone else is planning to apply/got offered an admission/ already attending USF for nursing. I would love to get acquainted with my future cohort/ current nursing students at USF.
