Saraliz, Thank you for your response. I have applied to "entry level" positions on med surg floors and elsewhere without success. Looked at long term care and even urgent care centers. I reached back to instructors who tell me to hang in there. I have spoken to recruiters who have said they are not looking at new nurses right now. So I definitely feel a little unprepared for the current job market. Currently, I have two locations for multiple positions considering me but no bites yet. Fingers crossed... both locations are an hour away but that isn't what gets to me. Everyone said how quickly new nurses get jobs. However, I am feeling like without experience, I am floundering a bit. Again thank you for your response. I will hang in there for sure... just a slow start.

New RN in FL looking for advice: Brief back story: recent grad ADN (Dec 2019) and recently licensed RN (Feb 2020). No luck finding my first job. Admittedly I have no previous experience in health care. I have been told to hold tight by instructors, because no one wants the hassle of dealing with a new nurse while figuring things out with the health crisis. So on to my question(s): How does one get hired during a pandemic?? What did you do or would you recommend?
