  1. It cost me $20,000 for 3 months of outpatient. The recommendation from evaluator was for outpatient but no time frame, that would be determined by facility. Count on it to be at least 2 months minimum. Nobody ever gets treatment for a month is what I was told. I was fortunate that my parents were able to pay for it. Some places took insurance but I didn't have any at the time. I should have taking the cobra insurance and maybe could have used that to pay for treatment. I know one of the facilities took Florida Blue and when open enrollment opens up in November, maybe try getting insurance through Obamacare which gives you a subsidy depending on your income. I finished my treatment at the end of June, received my contract a week later, and got a job within a week. Ipn is doable if you can get through the expensive cost of treatment which is obscene.

I'm a newer nurse who got caught diverting. Had issues coming off steroids, working overnights was killing me. I admitted what I did, was not reported to board, self reported to IPN. Not addicted to opioids as I was only on my own as a nurse for a short time, thankfully. Had an evaluation in Pompano Beach, cost $1550, plus had to hair follicle test for $300. A nurse practitioner interviewed me and said the doctor may come in at some point but never did. I never spoke to the doctor only the NP. IPN received the evaluation but said it was too general. They requested something more from the doctor, which I suspected that it wouldn't be good if they are going back and asking for more. What gets me is I never spoke to the doctor and have asked twice for a copy of the evaluations but still never received. Took a month for the doctor to give IPN what they needed. IPN sends me a letter stating I need PHP 20 hours minimum a week (partial hospitalization treatment). Gives me 3 places to choose from that cost $22,000-$25,000 for 30 days. Don't have a job or insurance and my caseworker basically telling me if I don't comply that they will close my file and report me to the board. I did an outpatient program when I initially got caught, but they won't accept it. I'm looking around at other places but my caseworker says they have to be IPN approved. Has anyone been able to go outside IPN's recommended facilities? Not sure what to do. I know I put myself in this situation but just trying to salvage my career.
