Drexel ACE vs. Jefferson FACT - ABSN Program
Most people with good grades only got 2k. Not a lot of scholarships with a second degree. They did have some covid care act relief stuff that gave us like an additional $600

Drexel ACE vs. Jefferson FACT - ABSN Program
I attend the center city campus. Clinical assignments are mainly at Jefferson hospitals (Methodist, Abington, Center City, Cherry Hill, etc.) but we have also been assigned to other places as well such as Einstein, CHOP, DuPont, Eaglesville, School District of Philadelphia (schools that assisted with disabled individuals), etc. I'm not sure what clinical placement is like for those at Dixon. Sometimes we saw Dixon people at Jefferson hospital, but I have no idea where else they get assigned to. If you apply to Dixon I think it should be a bit easier to get in. Usually people want to go to the main campus in center city. You definitely will save on parking if you choose Dixon as I believe parking is free there. People that did not get into center city were sometimes passed on to Dixon.

Drexel ACE vs. Jefferson FACT - ABSN Program
I had a 3.76 GPA at my main university and graduated with a B.A. in Psych. I had a 4.0 from a community college where I completed all my prerequisites. I had prior research experience and little pharm tech experience. Judging from your stats, I have no doubt you will get into both programs. I was accepted to both Drexel and Jefferson. Drexel does not have an interview. You just submit an application, nice and simple. Jefferson had a group interview over zoom where we were broken into breakout rooms of 4-5 people. Interview questions were sent the night before, but you were also asked one question that was not sent beforehand. Honestly, do not worry too much about your personal statement. I bs'ED my personal statement for Jefferson because I thought I wouldn't want to go there and they accepted me. I wrote about what made their program stand out to me compared to other accelerated nursing programs. I ended up choosing Jefferson by the way. Best decision. Highly recommend Jefferson over Drexel. Also, my original post said that Jefferson's program is fairly new and not as highly regarded, that is a lie LMAO. I don't know where I got that assumption from. Also, I believe Jefferson favors their own students so if you want to work at Jefferson Hospital once you graduate, there's that. If you want to make sure you get accepted, submit your application early. People were getting rejected even with great stats because they submitted their application too late and seats were already filled. Also, to further reduce your anxiety, people in my program had previous GPAs that were close to a 3.0 with no previous healthcare experience.

Drexel ACE vs. Jefferson FACT - ABSN Program
Decided to go to Jefferson and I absolutely love it. I’m so glad I picked Jefferson over Drexel. Would do it all over again in a heart beat! Jefferson’s instructors want you to succeed and the information is really well taught. I thought before that Drexel was more well regarded, but that’s not the case! They both are really known in Philly and Drexel is only good if you do the traditional program bc you get the co-op experience (accelerated program you don’t). It also helps that Jefferson has their own hospital so we are able to get clinical placement there if anything happens with COVID (many places have limited clinical spots for students bc of COVID). If you go to jefferson, you won’t regret it. Promise! Also, if you’re debating between fact 1 or fact 2 for jefferson, do fact 1! Fact 2 is double the price and the classes are just as fast as fact 1, but you just have longer breaks (which is not worth paying that much extra for) and maybe less of a course load some semesters.

UPENN BSN MSN 2021
Haven’t heard anything yet :-(. I guess we won’t find out till next week. Maybe the snow storm had something to do with the delay since most schools closed for a day

UPENN BSN MSN 2021
Yes, we should find out decisions this week according to last years timeline. Latest would be next week. As for any more information regarding decision timeline, if any of us end up getting waitlisted, the latest we would find out about getting off the waitlist would be April.

Drexel ACE Program (Fall 2021)
Hey! I know this question was directed to Victoria but just wanted to share some insight. My financial aid package had all loans - no grants or scholarships even though my EFC is close to 0. Many scholarships do not apply to us because it's a second bachelors. Usually scholarships apply to first time bachelors or grad level applicants. Kind of sucks ? I'm sure there are scholarships without this requirement - maybe career change scholarships? It's just a bit harder to find, but they are def out there. Not sure how long it took to hear back from FAFSA, but I was accepted early Dec and just recently checked my drexel portal and saw my financial aid package.

UPENN BSN MSN 2021
Hi! I saw on your profile that you already have your BSN. When you applied to the MSN portion, did you have to record a video interview with prompts provided? I applied to the accelerated BSN with direct entry MSN and did a recorded video interview with prompts (Was wondering if this is only for accelerated BSN and BSN/MSN together). When I emailed Filomena (Associate Director of Enrollment Management Accelerated (Second Degree, BSN/MSN, RN Return) & Transfer Programs) she told me there would be no additional interviews. Just wondering if additional interviews are for only MSN applicants or if people who applied for ABSN with direct entry MSN are included as well. Thanks!

UPENN BSN MSN 2021
Hi! I know on their website they say the acceptance rate for the accelerated BSN portion is 25-30% but I'm not sure for the MSN portion.

UPENN BSN-MSN 2021
Hi! They release decisions early February - from the threads that I have read on previous years, I would say around Feb 6th - 10th.

Jefferson FACT-1/FACT-2 2021
Hey! So I applied on Oct 15th, but my application wasn’t marked complete until all my transcripts were sent in which was Nov 25th. On Nov 30th I was notified to schedule an interview which I scheduled for Dec 8th and then two days after I received my acceptance.

UPENN BSN MSN 2021
Hi! I applied for the PMHNP specialty as well! Previous years they had a video interview, like the one we did, and a specialty interview (people would get notified for this and only some specialities did interviews). Filomena did say, however, that they are not planning on hosting interviews this year. I was a little confused too at first because when I submitted my application it said they would reach out if they needed an interview, but thats just an automated response from previous years. I emailed Filomena and she confirmed no interviews this year! Would you guys mind sharing your stats such as GPA, what you got your degree in, and any previous healthcare experience? Im still in school at the moment, with an expected graduation of May 2021. Currently on track to get my BA in Psych!

Early to mid-Feb. They don’t give out an exact date

Drexel ACE Program (Fall 2021)
I definitely thought about this! Im not sure if it is still a thing or not but this was a huge factor for me as well in deciding between schools to go to. I think I may end up going to Jefferson because it is a tiny bit cheaper, has better simulation labs, and they guarantee admission into their MSN program if you graduate with a certain GPA.

Drexel ACE Program (Fall 2021)
I would say your best bet is to email them to ask about a deadline extension. I know from previous threads about other programs that many programs do give deadline extensions if asked but not sure about Drexel specifically. I am coming straight out of undergrad! Graduating in May of 2021. Debating between which program I want to go to, Jefferson or Drexel. Still waiting to hear back from UPenn.
