  1. So I’ve already registered and everything through my current states BON to take the test-which I take on Tuesday ?. IN doesn’t become a compact state until July 1st and I won’t move until I have a job lined up. I’d rather start that process sooner rather than later. I was more wondering if anyone has gone through this and what they did. If a job doesn’t have a start date until mid July, then I won’t be an issue, I’ll have plenty of time to get a FL DL and endorse my license quick. If it’s sooner is what I’m worried about.
  2. I am moving to FL pending job offer, in like 2 months. I have the whole application situation figured out, just waiting to pass the NCLEX to get a license number to start the process. My question is, I’m moving in with my boyfriend who already permanently lives there-so I have an address. When I apply for endorsement, do I have to submit proof(pictures, driver’s license #, etc.) with the application? I plan on getting my driver’s license soon after settling in. So, I’m just not sure what to do? I have the permanent address, just not the driver’s license-yet. I want to put the address down bc I’m gonna be living there and I’d rather not go through a whole other process like 2 weeks after getting the license. Not sure how to handle this! Anyone have this problem or come across this situation? Any advice would be great, thanks!
  3. Thank you for your comment! I have been contacted by a recruiter from HCA and she forwarded my info to a StartRN recruiter but it’s been a week with no response. I also heard that is very competitive and I’m out of state so it might be unlikely. I’ve tried Baycare but they have no residences open currently or any Clinical Nurse I positions-everything is out of my experience level. I just feel very disappointed, discouraged and not sure what to do at this point. I’ve very set on moving to that area this Summer but don’t like skilled/long term facilities at all. I did a few rotations in those and hated it. Not sure what to do at this point since I have no network/contacts and I’ve been applying for 2 months now.
  4. I am a new grad moving to Clearwater, FL after passing my NCLEX-which I just schedule for 6/2. My hope is I have a job lined up before the move. I’ve been applying for all acute care jobs(Baycare, HCA, Bayfront) in the area since mid April and still currently doing so. I haven’t heard back from ANYONE! I’ve included in my cover letter and resume that I’m “permanently relocating” to the area in June. I’m starting to get very discouraged and I have no idea what to do, who to contact, etc. I’m not sure what to do. Any advice on what to do, who to talk to, anything really would be super helpful! Thank you so much!
  5. I'm waiting to hear back from a New Grad program in FL. If they give me specific timeline and allow me to wait until July, then I'll do that. But I'm worried they want ASAP. That's where my confusion about the address/driver's license comes in.
  6. I'm attempting to start the process to endorse into FL from IN! Did you have to submit anything for schooling, transcripts, etc? I didn't see anything but was curious. Also, what did you do about the address part? Did you have a place/address lined up or not? Currently deciding what to do about that part. Thanks!
  7. I am moving in with my partner in FL and applying for endorsement down there as soon as I pass in Indiana! I was wondering if they will ever require me to send a copy of my "FL driver's license" if I have a FL address? Can I use that address for the endorsement application even though I'll move there after that process is started? I just don't want to get in any trouble or cause the process to take longer. I plan on getting my FL driver's license after I "officially" move down there and settle in. Thank you so much!
  8. Thank you so much! I'm starting to agree, might as well keep with it and just go through with the endorsement process. Do you have any insight about the address situation? If I should use my partner's address (since I'm moving in) for the endorsement application-even though I don't have the driver's license yet? Is the address that big of a deal? Thank you again!
  9. Hi there! I am an Indiana grad currently waiting for my ATT to take my NCLEX in Indy. HOWEVER, I am moving to FL as soon as I pass to move in with my partner who lives down there already. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this process before or currently and would love to pick your brain about how you went about this! Here are my concerns about what I should do; 1. I already went through the verification process through the IN BON and registered through PearsonVue for the NCLEX to send results to the IN BON. 2. So, now I'm worried the endorsement will take too long-should I try and apply for examination through FL (even though I've done this process for IN) and try to get PearsonVue to change where they send my results? 3. I have an address down there, since my partner lives there and I'm moving in, but do NOT have a driver's license YET (I haven't moved down there due to school). Is that address enough to make the endorsement process easy/quick? Or should I just do the single state and wait to upgrade once I eventually get my FL driver's license? Any tips, advice would be soooooooo appreciated! This has been the most confusing part of nursing school graduation, stuff they really never give you a chance to ask or figure out! Thank you so much and hope to see some responses!!
