  1. @Daniella McGuire I know current students. Word is fall may be online but we have access to the simulation lab.. nothing is set in stone yet. I'm sure we will find out more during orientation.
  2. @nursinghopeful777 as far as I know from like the information sessions and stuff. If it isn't done by the end of may then they won't accept you. They probably placed you on the waitlist with the assumption you were completing prerequisites this past Spring. Even if they take you off the waitlist, they will ask for your transcript to see you completed the courses required.
  3. @nursinghopeful777 if they were not completed by the end of Spring 2020 semester then you'd have to apply for fall 2021 start
  4. @trhchicago yay! Congratulations.
  5. @trhchicago yeah a few hours after the status update.
  6. @Seri Lee just a heads up. @TrueChemist would like to join the facebook group ! ❤
  7. Here is the link to our cohort if anyone wants to join https://www.facebook.com/groups/1062392437458802/?ref=share
  8. @TrueChemist mine says admitted as well
  9. I couldn't take the anticipation any longer and uncertainty. I got accepted to chamberlain and I attend there.
  10. @trhchicago mine was. Not sure what it means
  11. @MissBliss it can take anywhere from now all the way up to like a couple weeks before the program starts.
  12. Hey! @Seri Lee I think its class of 2022. If you start in fall 2020 you graduate in december 2022.
  13. @Seri Lee Yayyy! You decided!? You're going to love Chicago & yes let's make one!
  14. For anyone committing to UIC has a facebook group been made yet?
  15. @Seri Lee That I dont know about. As long as I've been researching I've seen you need at least an MSN. People with ban's can do like an MSN-FNP. Which is like 3 years. Or people like us with a non nursing bachelors do MSN then a post master certificate. Or the DNP route. If I had the funds I would've done an ABSN for sure. It's faster and if a DNP is a requirement like you say then there are so many BSN-NP routes!
  16. @Seri Lee I applied to direct entry masters programs instead of an ABSN because I went to an expensive school for undergrad. didn't have enough financial aid so I knew I couldn't pay for an ABSN. And besides my ultimate goal is to become a pmhnp so if I get my masters I can just get a certificate and start practicing.
  17. @morganf07 I applied.. didn't get in.
  18. @trhchicago Exactly! I wouldnt risk it. Simply because uic will send out decisions anywhere from next week to a week before the start of the program. DePaul is a great school. And theres plenty of hospitals that have loan assistance and all that. I'm very happy for you ?
  19. @trhchicago What is the Summer 2020 session for depaul start date? I wouldnt read too much into it. LOL people change their minds all the time. And yeah I didn't think of it like that. People have till may 1st but they more than likely would decide well before then. You're right. I'd hate to lose my deposit LOL but uic is about 12k less than depaul.
  20. @trhchicago I see. Did you already put a deposit down for depaul ? So you're going to decide between depaul and uic? Uic we won't hear back till like mid may after they get final decisions to admitted students. But I think you can change your session entrance to fall for depaul as well. That was one of my questions Below is the woman I called: If you don't want to start in the Summer while you wait for uic I'd call her. Joanna Gebala Assistant Director Phone: 773-325-7271 [email protected]
  21. @Seri Lee Thank you and yes trying to stay safe and practicing good social distance. Did the Nebraska school give you a deadline too? Is it also a masters entry? Would you be basing your decision off I guess cost of tuition because you're outta state?
  22. @eg22 Yeah I feel you. I know someone that was waitlisted and got in. So I wouldn't give up hope.
  23. @Seri Lee Pretty much. They gave me until April 30th to be added to the wait list. So I assume I will know if I am accepted a little after those that have been accepted make their decision. @eg22 I agree. Just a number would be great LOL so people don't give their hopes up. Have you been accepted anywhere?
  24. @Seri Lee UIC is my top choice because it will work well with my work schedule and taking care of my kids. It is also very close to where I live. I know a few currents students from different graduating classes that highly recommend it and love it there. If you don't mind me asking, how long did UIC give you to like accept or decline their offer? I'm just wondering if it is the same date as the accept or decline of being put on the wait list.
  25. @Seri Lee Congratulations!! Do you live in Chicago? Is UNMC Nebraska medical center?
