hi, everyone. I am new one here, and trying to transfer my RN license from other state to VA. I have submitted the application and paid online. I need to start my new job in 3 weeks. I shouldn't wait so late to transfer my license, but I didn't expect to get an offer that quick. Does anyone recently had similar experience? How long does the nursing board process a case like this? in panic......

:yeah:just got an offer as a field hospice nurse. I did researches here before went for interview. Thanks for those who shared their experiences in the forum. The schedule of the work seems pretty reasonable, the manager is such a nice lady. I was recommended by my friend, she is the nurse of this facility, so that I know this company is supportive to their employees. They even didn't ask me tough questions, you can find the most questions and appropriate answer on this forum. Now I can support my family. Yeah!!!!

I used to do the same thing, and it just cost 1 month before got license of LA. Just follow the instruction on the nursing board. good luck!

But I just want to make sure that I may find a job as a private clinic RN. If it's just a specialties clinic like a dermatologist clinic, is that ok to be a nurse there and ask them to petition me? As a foreign nurse, what kind of hospital is able to sponsor my GC? Is there the possibility that I may find the position in the private clinic(with just no more than 10 staff there) which may sponsor GC for me? Thank you for your suggestions.

I'v passed NCLEX-RN a few months ago,but cause I applied for the RN of Texas nursing board which require the SSN for hard license, I cant apply my SSN to them cause my status is F2.The license now I take will be expired next October. According to the retrogression now, I cant find any job. And I came from the other country,not graduate from USA school. My RN license in my country will be expired next May. So what should I do to keep my USA license being valid until the retrogression is over which I know at least after one year. To find some school to finish my BSN degree? Or just wait in the home?Who may apply some options to me? Thanks a lot!

Since I am no the students graduated from US nursing school, how can I find the hospital or nursing home in Texas by myself? Thanks a lot. But there is the new question, sorry, I have so many things need to be made clear. Suzanne4 said that as I pass the NCLEX-RN exam , I may start to find some employers and start to file my I-140 form even when it's retrogression now. But you said if the retrogression still exist and there is no visa numbers for us, I can file neither I-140 form or I-485 form as they are the parts of applying visa process. So what can I do at that time? Is the visa numbers the precondition before we file our I-140/I-485? Thank you.

Both of you and Suzanne4 mentioned that the "petition in Texas", if I didnot misunderstand, that means my licensure process, right? Tell you the truth, I really dont know much about this process. Yes, sometimes I just feel so frustrated. I'm not a student, but I still take so much pressure. But anyway, all bad things will go, we need to focus on what we decided to do . Hopefully , the retrogression will be lift and all of us will make our dreams come true.
