You mean, First semester Tuition bill will come early May?

That’s the one I got. I think they’re still working on the orientation and registration date. I’m already starting on the medical clearance paper work. We have a whole month, it shouldn’t take too long. I’ll probably get everything by the end of the month. I also got the email to set up my Mercy Connect.

Hey girls! So I mentioned a week ago that I was accepted. I just realized I got an orientation email yesterday and saw that I was actually accepted for the Summer semester. I remember opening up an application for the fall semester, but I guess when I finally submitted it, it got changed for the Summer? IDK... but I guess this is where they put me ??‍♀️ I guess some of you are right they aren’t accepting fall applicants yet. Sorry for the confusion! Didn’t mean to add any more stress to y’alls anxiety LOL

@anniegrace By phone. He called me at 9am but I didn’t pick up since I don’t pick up random numbers. I thought it was a telemarketer so I declined it and let it go to voicemail. The number is the same as a previous person posted here on the forum: ———————— He left a voicemail saying that I was accepted. Then emailed me that I was accepted a minute later. Then a few hours later the portal changed saying that I was accepted.

@Cajetan2 That's stupid. I've noticed that that's been a pattern, where everyone gets a different and conflicting answer from the faculty. It's annoying, confusing and just causes more unnecessary anxiety. We just need a straight and consistent answer across the board, no flip-flopping! Honestly I believe that since its rolling admission, they're just reviewing everyone at the same time. Maybe they are trying to review everyone's application in order of when their start date will be to make it a little more organized, but Everyone is getting accepted at different dates. It's random. I was expecting an answer on the 31st, but I got it today. Whereas some people are still waiting to get accepted for the fall, and other got it way earlier before me! It sounds more like Russian roulette tbh. Just be patient, be hopeful but keep your mind off of it. Take what they say very loosely, like a rough estimate. You'll know soon enough.

@FiddleStackssNYC Literally the same day I finished my app, I emailed him. I have to make a correction. I submitted my last document on 2/19/20 not on the 13th. So my application was complete on the 19th. I added my personal statement last since that took me the longest. So on the 19th I emailed him basically saying "Hey I finally submitted everything. What would be the next step? What should I look out for?" and he responded with this "Your application is with our nursing department for final review and decision. Should you be selected you will hear from us by March 31, 2020." That's it. Straight answer. Never contacted him again. Just kept my mind off of it and hoped time would fly by because at that time, I had to wait a whole Month and a half! I didn't want to get anxious. But I guess the universe was on my side bc I didn't have to wait that long!

Also. I’ve been a Medical assistant for 2 years. I have my phlebotomy license and have been doing that for a year. I also submitted my Full resume onto the application. Wasn’t necessary I think But I put it in anyway.

@Quinnmk @special-k So I technically started the application in September but wasn’t really invested in this school. It was more of a careless backup plan...until I got rejected to all of my other schools and I had to use this back up plan LOL. So I finally submitted everything completely on 2/13/20. That’s when they started reviewing my application. I talked to ———— and he told me that they were reviewing my App and that I’ll probably hear by 3/31/2020. Turns out, they accepted me earlier than expected! It literally only took them 2 and a half weeks. Undergrad GPA: 3.35 I took Micro, and A&P 1 and 2 all of 2019 at a community college for the Pre-reqs since I didn’t do them in undergrad. That GPA was 3.7 Personal statement: I made it super personal (something that I never really do in Apps) and talked about my medical condition. I never do that bc I hate sob stories and I feel like everyone does that. I’m not the type to use my circumstances as sob stories. I’m a fighter. So I used that and basically made it my “strength”. Also, found a way to tie that into Preventative medicine, how Nursing is the best field to promote this type of medicine, and how I can help contribute to this movement towards preventative medicine. It was exactly 499 words (Def think that essay was the winner towards my acceptance) Also, I did not use letters of recommendations. and Since this is a recent topic, I was under the impression that high school transcripts were necessary for the application. The way I was told was that the unofficial one goes on the application and upon acceptance you send the Official copy. (Same goes for Bachelor’s transcript). That’s really the same across the board for any school you apply to. Just my 2 cents. I wouldn’t risk it. Just complete and send everything.

Hello all! I applied to the fall 2020 semester and got accepted this morning! I'm also living out on LI (Brentwood) and will be commuting (Yikes!) so for @Andray7211 @Emmaleeand @futureLaDnurse I hope to meet you fellow islanders soon! lmk if any of you guys want to know my stats if it helps! I know the anxiety from waiting is debilitating (lord knows how many times I’ve applied to different schools and was rejected). Saying that I was frustrated Would be an understatement LOL. Just goes to show that you just have to keep persevering no matter what! You all got this!
