Hi Guys!! I promised myself I'd comment after passing my NCLEX, because I frequently came to this site for encouragement from others and it really helped me! My NCLEX journey was not an easy road. I FAILED twice. All I used was UWORLD and Hurst review, but mostly UWORLD as that's what my fellow classmates said they mainly used to pass their exam. My first attempt: I wrote the exam for the first time on October 4, 2019. I did ALL 265 questions. One of the most mentally draining things I have done. I knew going in to this exam I wasn't ready, but had family that would tell me otherwise. I should have listened to my gut feeling. I feel like if I had a little more time to study I could have got it. I was borderline for all topics. Biggest suggestion here if you end up going passed 75 questions is TAKE YOUR BREAKS. I didn't and I regret it so much. (Ranked in UWORLD in the 42 percentile) Second attempt: I wrote the NCLEX for the second time on December 20, 2019. I took some time for myself after the first, and maybe it wasn't the best idea for me to take 3-4 weeks off, but we live and learn. I studied UWORLD again and did another 2 thousand practice questions. The exam shut off at 243 questions. I had mixed emotions and knew I probably failed again. This exam was much harder than my first. (Ranked in UWORLD in the 52nd percentile) Third Attempt: I wrote for the third time on February 26, 2020. I had to purchase UWORLD again, and did all of the questions again. I was ranked in the 80th percentile and took the two practice exams with both ranking me in the 80th percentile and 85th percentile with a high chance of passing. I felt more confident this time going in and truly tried to think positive...I think that's such an important thing for writing this exam. I scheduled the exam for in the afternoon (1:30pm) instead of 8:00am. Such a positive difference, since you're so much more rested. When my first two exams were early in the morning I woke up every single hour of the night and halfway through my exam I was utterly exhausted. Could barely keep my eyes opened. UWORLD works if you use it correctly and read all rationales!! A lot of my questions were similar! Good luck everyone and believe in yourself!
