  1. Hello, I graduated vocational nursing in 2013. I took the NCLEX twice and failed both times. I was 18 years old at the time and felt that my failure was proof that I was inadequate to be a nurse. After failing, I joined the work force and got an associates in a different degree. This degree is not yielding job opportunities like I need it to. I am a new mother to a beautiful little girl. As such, I need to be able to properly take care of my little one. I want to give her the best life that I can....I'm sure all mothers and fathers can relate to this. Nursing would be the best way for me to be able to provide for her. I passed the vocational nursing program and received my certification. My certification is in Texas. Is there anyway that I can still qualify to take the NCLEX and try to get my license? Could I test in another state, possibly? Has anyone else been in this position? Any help would really be appreciated! Thank you so much for your time! TL;DR: Got my VN Certification in 2013 (Texas), but I haven't acquired my license. How can I qualify to take the NCLEX Exam? Has anyone been in this position?
