  1. Still hope, they keep you for this one and just in case the next session as well.. Some people can do their application fast and do great... on my end, since I knew I lack work experience on the area (PMHNP) I took my time with the essays and gave plenty of time ahead to the people doing the recommendation as well. I made sure to remind them for the specific program I was applying, so they could focus their essay not only on recommending myself but ensuring I was a good fit for the specific program. As well, I took almost 3 weeks to prepare the main essay... I Google articles, and Youtube videos on how to write an admissions essay... I read the school mission and the importance for the school to have diversity, equality, serve the undeserved population, etc... and then I used my pesonal/work experiences and linked to their mission and the question on the essay. I let the essay stay on my pc for over a week after it was ready,so I could re read it a couple times and felt confident about it. I also had an academic advisor and a co worker read over my essay (no changes /correctiom made as per them it was fine). It kind of give me chills whenever I read it. I left my 'heart' on it. But hey, thats just what worked for me.
  2. Hi For which specialty are you applying if you don't mind sharing. Am still on shock I was accepted , even when I met all the requirements I knew I was going to be competing with other other people who also met the requirements... I honestly think the essays and recommendations had a huge impact on their decision.... but who knows... don't lose hope

  5. Thank you for the information. I am anxiously waiting. Did you submitted all your paperwork ahead of time. I am just wondering if it will take that long since I sent the documents early ? Congratulations as well. I guess you by now you either completed or about to complete your bound. Good luck
  6. Okay, thanks for the information. I am already applying to another school. If I don't get accepted I will continue to apply and may come back to this one. I have one year RN experience but even though I am not expecting to immediately practice as a NP right after graduation I want to get it out of the way so when I get more experience and feel more comfortable I can use it. Besides since it takes from 2 to 3 years to complete the NP Program that should allow me time to have a much better background. Thanks for sharing the info.

Your patience is appreciated during this challenging time. Just share some info that may be useful for others... Since I couldn't do it in this one am looking into other schools
  10. I was referring to Psych NP Program. Then, I will have to wait unless I can get accepted into another program valid in NY. Any tips for the application?
  11. Oh wao Thanks for the information. Its many months in advance that applications need to be submitted. ? Thanks for sharing. I was trying to see if I could find any useful information on the school website but either I couldn't find it or is not there. I just started searching for universities offering the pnp. I m in NY so it's kind of limited here. Unless you have the money to spend in a very expensive school. I was thinking of applying to Frontier University. Since last year , that was the one I had on mine. Unfortunately, I just realized a few days ago that the credentials/ accreditation still under review from the office of professions so they are not longer accepting NY applications from 2019. Which is kind if strange becase I contacted them a few months back and I was told that they were but then I kept checking for more info and realized the info I was given wasn't correct. Anyway, I will be contacting the school (Stony B)on Monday to see if I can get more info regarding the application process. If this fall deadline already pass maybe I can start sometime next year. Maybe jan 2022, hopefully. Thanks for sharing the info with me FNPDNP#
  12. Hi I hope you all receive great news and get accepted to the program. Sending good vibes... Please share any updates if possible. I want to apply for the this fall 2021 for pnp. Am not sure if they will seriously consider my application since I only have one year as an RN and like 2 months with my BSN. Only work as a case mamager /nurse field sup as RN. But due to personal reasons I want to pursue pnp, plus I enjoyed the psy clinical rotations while I find many of my peers didn't really like it. I used to work as LPN before so not sure if that could help during my interview... Anyway Please if you guys can share about the interviews, or how the application process went during the covid. Thanks in advance and good luck
  13. Hello, I hope you all heard back from the school and got great news. I want to apply to start for this fall 2021 for the Psychiatrist NP Program. I am just trying to find something affordable and that allows me to work while in school
