  1. I just started this semester--just finished the first course. How far are you in it? What do you think so far?
  2. Hey! I know I'm late, but I'm in this program now and I have an associate that completed this program last year and she said they did not really help at all with placement, but starting the search soon is a huge game changer!
  3. I’d just check if they took the money then call sometime this week
  4. Hey guys I was accepted but I gave up my spot and will be attending Elms College ABSN. Just beware that Umass provides no financial aid of any sort just the federal loans you qualify for if you HAVENT already met the loan aggregate limit. with Elms I’d just had to borrow 20k after grants and scholarships they gave me (on top of the left over 12k in federal loan I qualify for). They were generous. Good luck y’all! Def look into the financing side of it before you accept if you have other options!
  5. And and stats I also took undergrad. All the other classes like A&P I mentioned I took this past fall at a community college
  6. Hey all, I was accepted and my GPA undergrad was a 3.56 my, I took classes to fullfil the requirements that I’ve never taken before like A&P 1 & 2 (accelerated in 1 semester— part 1 in 7 weeks and part 2 in the last 7 weeks of the semester) I got an A in both. I also took Nutrition, Human Growth even tho I was a biology major I never took these courses so it was my first time go, I have a pre req GPA of 3.9. Oh and micro I got a B+ and was the only requirement I took undergrad. I work in an emergency room and I’ve only ever really worked in a hospital and did direct patient care in a residential center a few years ago full time. I also had an internship undergrad Which led to a study I helped with being published In a medical journal so that was a plus. Ummm that’s all I can think of, I had a great recommendation from my A&P professor who was a pediatrician.
  7. @tds_11 I was looking for a typical schedule too but didn’t see anything online. I have my son starting full time daycare regardless in August, it’s best to be safe than sorry plus on the days you may not class or clinical you can still study.
  8. Awesome, thanks For the link! Congrats @blmf that’s exciting!
  9. @hannahnicole awesome, thank you for making a page! I dont see it on FB tho..?
  10. I would say yes closer to 43k after fees or so. But they haven’t update the website if there is a price change per credit so I’m thinking it’s right around that. Also, is there a FB group?
  11. There is reliable transportation, PVTA, but I would def have a car. To be on the safe side. The PVTA has never been perfect. Plus you wanna be on time to classes and all clinical sites. @blossomppg I haven’t looked for the FB group but I’ll look to see!
  12. @33b_r_i_a_n_n_a33 I work in Mercy ED, we’ve prob met before if you work for AMR! also @OctaviaF I’d start looking soon since a lot of leases will be ending May/June!
  13. Don’t worry all, just keep an eye out. And @OctaviaF and @NurseRME I also live in the area, Chicopee and you’ll be fine. Like mentioned above, every city has its good and bad, but since you’ll be there for school you’ll be fine. Not like you’ll be out and apart of the night life every weekend etc. the cost of living is relatively ideal compared to areas like Amherst, South Hadley areas. So no worries. congrats you you both as well, and everyone else! Excited to meet you all in August! I’m also debating on my admission to Umass, I really wanna wait to see what their financial aid package looks like as far as scholarships and all, I don’t wanna take out too much in loans!
  14. Anyone still waiting hear back yet?
  15. Just got an email that I was accepted! Good luck to those still waiting!
