Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2025
I received a rejection email from HCA Job ID - 2751586 that cover the NW. & TMC locations Friday morning. I wonder if that email only imply those locations or all HCA. I wonder if anyone heard from other HCA location or not.

Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2025
I remember talking to the recruiter at HCA for Webster and she said she cover certain areas that include Pearland, Pasadena etc.... so, if we look at those job numbers .. they seem to cover certain area around Houston, I wonder if that's the case ... I doubt they would mess something like that up.. the location is one thing and the job number would be the recruiter from my speculation

Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2025
My interview was uneventful. It was a few weeks ago, and there were approximately six people on Zoom. They posed three questions: 1. We have seen your resume...do you have anything to add? 2. Can you give us an example of a problem in your work? 3. How do you handle mistakes? The interview was scheduled for 30 minutes, however it barely lasted around 20 minutes. I asked a few questions, and it seemed like they were unprepared and more of trying to rush me out. I realized the first min of the interview ... after they asked the first question... you know that feeling when someone wasn't interested .... I had to do my best and smile... the feeling was disheartening during the process. and I was right... they sent me the rejection letter afterwards.. Its like... they give me the zoom interview out of formality.

Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2025
when covid happen a lot of RN were force out to gov. bs taking those shots.. and many went on travel nursing .. and when covid bs died down most of them return to houston, and lets not forget our schools started to increase students back in 2019-2022 created more nurses for the pandemic .. the increase of nursing student in houston the the # of jobs that fill these position were limited. created this issue. also a lot of these jobs required 1 year experience for example ( davita ).. it made it where none of us can find jobs w/o experience ... its a bottle neck school > limited NRP > other RN jobs .. I see a lot of jobs request out there but they all demand experice that affect everyone... thats how I see it, they are limited in spots to give out and they can be picky about it .. its not our market anymore but the hospital choices

I know MH had a couple of interview last week, from what I was told by my friend is that, they send out offer fast like last week or Monday then wait 48hrs to send rejection after they know who accept or reject. not sure if our 2nd choice location/unit would fair any better

I'm not sure how hcc does their acceptance process ... from what I cant tell my application # was in the 700s and I think it's in the 1500s plus now .. and if I am correct... it seems like everyone who qualified are over 500+... and we all got the letter of intent accepted... I remember they said they will score us base off of grades/tests by a point system and from the top down they will rank us. and take the top-down approach... so basically they're just gathering as many people who qualified and pick from there... through the letter of intent ... so we're not really accepted until their ranking/selecting us from their pool ... they're confusing us by giving us orientation dates, even though they're not done w/ the final selection/acceptance. Also, most places/schools don't require bon/health insurance/etc until you're really accepted into the program ... I think they're trying to cover everything before they make that final decision. it's my opinion and I don't know for sure. hope someone from the previous semester can answer it more clearly. this waiting game is annoying

HCC coleman Fall 2020
@Beebee10 no, I think we should upload what we can, as we go. I don't think waiting would be any helpful... she said that waiting till the deadline is not a great idea. ?

HCC coleman Fall 2020
I asked them today and they said everything has to be done by june 12 deadline for castle branch - to-do-list, and TBON emails will be sent out april 17 to get our background check done etc. For insurance, I think she said we can shop around for it to upload and it can active by Aug 1 is good enough.. most of all... no mentioning of Hep C so no worries there. CPR has to one of those that expires in 2 years, not the 1 year ones. she said during orientation they will go over more about it ( i think after we know if we're accepted or not. I hope that clears up some issues. btw hesi grades... 2 chances.. they take the higher one of each section... and if its over 3 years they wont take.. meaning you can retake the hesi again time for higher grade.
