so, update, they found my transcripts, DON will be back in office next week and my application will be submitted for her to screen. not sure if that means for this round, or next...

@Futurenurse661 @karina paredes yes, for AVC they require hard copies submitted WITH the application AND hard OR electronic copies sent to admissions. And none of the venders I had to order from offered expedited shipping. And NONE of the colleges allowed in person pick up of transcripts. So I was screwed every which way. Not sure how your application (Karina) would have been accepted any other way at AVC.

@futurenurse661 EXACTLY!! Like I said though, wasn't meant to be this year. It's OK, I have come to terms with it ?

@Futurenurse661 yes only once a year....and yes....only school I applied to because Bakersfield is only accepting waitlisted applicants for thier bridge program ? @karina paredes unofficial transcripts were from THEIR school, while I waited for the official to arrive, which I sent in as well, but after my application was sent in. Waller just emailed me and said she will look for my transcripts and if she can find them she will keep my application on file....it's OK. It's in God's hands. I'm just thankful to be working and have a good job through all this craziness. I wish you all the best of luck and blessings on your next step!! Congratulations!

@Futurenurse661 it's a little more complicated that that. I was waiting on transcripts FROM AVC, I had ordered them weeks prior. They wouldn't allow me to come in and pick them up, they didn't offer expedited shipping, OR even tracking info once ordered....It took FOUR weeks to receive them from a third party vendor out of Illinois! I kept getting the excuse that COVID was slowing everything down. I am so furious....anyway, when I did receive them I mailed them OVERNIGHT USPS registered mail signature required, separate from my application as I had already sent in my application with the unofficial transcripts for the ONE English class that I TOOK AT AVC!! Oh well....wasn't meant to be this year. Absolutely ridiculous that they require official transcripts from their OWN school ?

@Futurenurse661 I did, no response. I also emailed Waller, who is the one that sent me the email about the RN program. She responded, but didn't answer my question as to why I was sent that email. She was able to confirm that my application was for the bridge program, but that because I had attached unofficial transcripts ALONG with all the other OFFICIAL transcripts I sent in, that my application wasn't being considered. That's such ***. They are VERY strict about following their application procedure and such a tiny oversight of a requirement or inclusion of something they don't want, will basically disqualify your application. I also haven't received a response from any of them, including the DON, I reached out to ALL of them prior to sending my application for clarification on a couple of things....all with no response until it's too late ?

My GPA and TEAS score were good enough to get in, I wasn't worried about that. I'm going to contact Lugo, see what happened.

I'm positive I selected the option to start 3rd semester 2021. PLUS I included all of my requirements for bridge program, LVN diploma, copy of license, transcripts, IV/blood draw cert....in addition to the requirements needed for generic program ? Also, every page of the application has information that has to be filled out that is exclusive to LVN...not sure what happened here.

Hi :) I'm so confused...I applied for AVC 21/22 bridge program. I have yet to hear anything...besides the email I received on 3/18. The email isn't specific to bridge program, and I would think with Summer class required that they would have let all of us know by now!! Do you know anyone else that was accepted to bridge program? If you are in California, then yes, you must disclose it (I don't know about other states). The form you fill out asks if you have EVER been arrested. Even if it has been sealed or expunged, it will STILL SHOW UP on the Livescan! It's better to be upfront and honest than have to explain later why you didn't disclose the information and then it will take longer to get approved to test. Just be aware that just because you are approved to test, doesn't mean you will be approved for licensure after passing NCLEX. The livescan is just a preliminary qualifier to get approval to test. Then AFTER you take and pass NCLEX the enforcement division reviews all your documentation related to your "situation" and makes a determination on if they will approve your license. I did extensive research and am confident that I am giving you accurate advice. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.

Yes, I tested on 1/11 and was licensed on 1/23. Hired as a new grad LVN on 1/30. My friend that tested with me on the same day received her license in TWO days. So it was a little bit of wait, but it turned out fine :) My advice, is make sure when you submit your application to BVNPT that ALL documentation of your situation is there and COMPLETE, and I had 4 letters of recommendation and my personal letter. Good morning, I took the NCLEX exam 1/11. I have a previous arrest from almost 15 years ago with no conviction. I had to complete probation and my charges were dropped. Anyone else that has been in my shoes, my question is, how long did it take for BVNPT to approve your license??
