That’s okay! I didn’t really either. I went to a junior college prior. Your stats are really good so you’ll for sure get into a program. Maybe look into UTMB? Or UT San Antonio. Neither of them do preference. I bet you’ll get a callback though! Just a matter of waiting ?

Yeah, technically I was considered a transfer (only had like 20 hrs at TXST) and they give BIG preference points to TXST students with majority of their credits from TXST. My friend got pretty much all of her credits there and had pretty much the same stats as you and got in first round.

Hi! I was initially placed on the alternate list. I got a callback on the 27th and was offered conditional admission to the school. This was after the deadline for the admission deposit. I believe the next deadline is a requirement of blue cards from the BON. So if some applicants don’t get that in, you might get a callback!

I know that the applicant pool for Spring start does tend to be lower in general than the fall. And they accept the same amount of applicants during both cycles. Hopefully the extension of the deadline doesn't affect those numbers too much.....But then I keep thinking about how everyone who got rejected from their first choice schools are now going to be turning to schools who still have applications open and then I want to throw up. ? We'll just have to wait and see. Does anyone know when letters are usually sent out for Spring applicants?

I doubt they would require people to send in finalized Spring transcripts before the deadline, since plenty of people have already submitted their applications. I really hope they take into consideration our TEAS scores though. I worked so hard for my scores.?

Okay great! I took most of my courses at a community college and I just recently got waitlisted at my dream school, who gives preference points to students that took classes at their university. It’s got me kinda down. But I’m hopeful about UTMB. Have you already submitted your application for Spring?

I'm also planning to apply for Spring 2021. My GPA for both science and overall is a 4.0 with an overall TEAS score of 94. Does anyone have any idea if they take into account where you completed your college courses or if it matters?

I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone that met the minimums will get it at some point. I also received an email from the school stating that the results of the fingerprinting/background check are not due until June 12th. So the email could come anytime between now and then. As long as you met the minimums, there's no reason to be worried at this point.

I just received my fingerprinting email this morning. Just for reference, it's from a company called IdentoGO. So don't forget to check your spam if you haven't received it yet!

Same here. I’ve been thinking the same thing, like did I spell my email right? ??? lmao. I haven’t received anything yet though. I’m checking my email constantly. I just need this wait to be over. If they push it back I will cry.

I know. I’m not sure how it’s gonna work. I’m pretty sure that our background check emails come directly from the board of nursing though, not TXST. (Because the goal is to get a blue card which clears us to sit for the NCLEX, and then send that to St. David’s) So we’re really waiting on them to send out emails. It’s just making me really nervous that I haven’t received one yet. LOL ??

I really just want to know if we have to have it done prior to acceptance. LOL Because on the website under conditionally admitted there is a deadline listed for the submission of background checks and fingerprinting. They haven’t changed the dates from last year, but it said June? So I’m assuming that’ll be the case this year. lmao ??‍♀️ I’m just gonna bank on it only being important if I actually get in.

I called about background checks and the lady I spoke with said that those emails have not gone out yet and they will be sent at a later date. We will only need to go through that process if we are admitted (at least, that’s what she told me) We only have 22 more dayssss?? ugh

No, still nothing. I submitted my application late November so I figured I would’ve received the email by now? Idk. I’m thinking about calling tomorrow just to check up. As far as I know though, the background check and the blue card we receive from that are just needed by the time we start nursing school. I don’t think it has anything to do with the admission process, but I could be wrong.

Went to the open house in Round Rock yesterday and was told that letters will go out on the last Friday of March. So the 27th. Only 34 more days. ??
