  1. I have my MSN in Leadership & Education. I work in a nurse residency program under the clinical learning department of my health system. Great pay, low stress, rewarding work, excellent work-life balance! I was able to use tuition reimbursement and scholarship resources through my employer. It is doable (I worked full time and was a single mom to a toddler at the time) and it can be worth it depending on what you want to do!
  2. Hello! I'm looking for fun and engaging classroom activities. I run a year-long nurse residency program for new graduate RNs. We've incorporated simulations, case studies, group projects, and reflections into our curriculum to reduce lecture time. We focus on professional development (self-care, resiliency, delegation, critical thinking) more than clinical skills. We want them to walk away feeling empowered and supported in their nursing journey. What activities or strategies have you used or experienced that stuck with you? Thanks!
  3. I am a Residency Coordinator in Idaho. My colleague and I run the program for our health system. Our program has oversight from our clinical education department. I was a clinical educator (teaching classes, leading orientation, rolling out education) while I was earning my MSN. I took my role as Residency Coordinator after graduating. Working with residents is very rewarding. They are at such an exciting time in their careers and are very open to mentoring. The pay is great, stress is low, and work-life balance can't be beat!
