  1. I can relate as I get stressed and worry a lot. I know this is easier said then done but try to stay in the moment. Focus on what you have to do at that moment. Part of learning is making mistakes and that is "normal". Hang in there and don't be so hard on yourself.
  2. I found a cna course in detroit where I live that I may take but have a few job duties questions? I really like helping people but and I feel bad about this don't think I could handle giving baths or changing older peoples diapers. I would really like to work in a rehab or psych place. I guess I'm wondering if this is not the right job for me,if I could do it but find a job not with those requirements,or any other thoughts people may have. The other thing I was looking into is Phlebotomy but was wondering how long the typical training is and how much a program costs?Thank you for any help you can give me.

Thank you and I'm sorry for the late reply. I emailed cantebury for more information. How did you hear about this? Is the email inquiry the best way or is there a contact person? Thank you to the other reply. I was hoping to find something that would not cost me a lot due to finance issues. If this does not work out I will look into a class though probably through the red cross. Thank you again.

So you don't have to pay for the training? After do they hire you for regular hours after the training? Sorry so many ?'s also is it like interviewing for a job on the decision if they will train you. Thank you so much

Thank you for your help but sorry for what happened to you. Do they offer the course there or do they hire you and send you for training? I will also call there and look into it. Thank you.

I'm sorry to bump this up but was wondering if anyone could share there experience of being a cna in Michigan job wise. I really want to take the course but money and time is a struggle. I could do it but want to make sure it is right. Also if anyone thinks this would be a good place, the american red cross to get training or if they went to a place that was good. I lives in Oakland County.Lastly after you take the month course how long does it take to get your license so you can start work? Thank you so much.

I am looking into taking the cna course I think through the american red cross its 750 and is around 4 weeks full time.I think after this I would take the state exam. Has anyone done this course. There were other places but I thought this maybe more reputable. Also will it prepare me enough for the boards? Will I have an easy time getting a job? Anything helpful I would appreciate. Thank you
  8. Thank you. I would love to work at Beaumont. I think so highly of that hospital. I did call the Red Cross and they have a course but not ill June at its 3 weeks all day for 750. The issue is I need a job now and since I'm off work at the moment I thought would be a good time. I don't know if I will be able in June because I wouldn't be able to take time off. Thank you. I'm going to keep looking.
  9. Thank you. It just seems hard to get a job in this area with no experience. I don't mind spending the money on the course but it seems really hard to find. Of course it would be nice to save money. Do you know of any certain places that will hire with barely no experience? Thanks again.
  10. I'm so sorry I just saw some replys to a similar ? under nursing assistants. Well if anyone else has any input but sorry.
  11. I'm going to go to college for nursing but in the mean time I want to become a cna so I can get experience and earn extra money while helping people. I was wondering if anyone could tell me of a cna training class? I would like something that is condensed so I can start right away due to time and money restraints. Thank You!
