  1. Nope, I have an A+, two A’s and a B+. I do have two years work experience as a care aide in a long term care and acute setting though so I think that helped with my not so good grades
  2. Don’t feel discouraged at all! This was my first time applying and I managed to get accepted. If you go to the UFV website it explains their admittance process a bit more and how it is all points based ?
  3. Not quite positive, if you email health studies they should be able to tell you ?
  4. Same! I keep refreshing mine to see if it’s come yet just so I have that as extra confirmation LOL I can’t wait to meet everyone!
  5. Same thing, mine definitely says conditional admit but my excitement shanked the wording in my brain LOL
  6. Same thing! CONGRATS everyone!! Someone should make a facebook group so we can actually know what each other’s faces look like ?
  7. For my HCA program I was a conditional admit until submitting the final documents cause technically everything isn’t handed it yet and if you don’t submit those documents you’ll lose your seat ?
  8. That means you’re in! If you look on the bottom as well it now has a box for criminal record check and immunization!
  9. Check your applications in the portal guys! Mine says cond acceptance - awaiting documents!
  10. Nothing for me yet, other then checking my email 90 times today. I’m not sure how I feel about fall being all online but don’t want to give up a potential seat but at the same time don’t want to have to teach myself everything since UFV is already self directed learning ?
  11. I definitely agree with that, talking within three minutes is much easier then typing especially when I’m not the best at typing. I guess we will all find out soon though! Good luck everyone!
  12. ***** said 86 today and 48 get in. I really hate that we had to type out our answers cause personally I find I’m a better talker in person. How does everyone else think about emailing and typing out the answers?
  13. I don’t think they’re allowed to say cause of the non-disclosure that people have to sign ? everyone I’ve asked always just tell me to relax and not stress but have never said anything about the questions
  14. How’s everyone feeling about UFV saying that the fall semester is going to be all online? Personally I’m suuuper nervous and I’m not a good online learner but not sure if I want to decline a potential seat because of it ?
  15. Not sure about anyone else but I got my interview invite this afternoon ?
  16. From what I understood it sounded like on Thursday successful people will hear back and then interviews on the 20th and on June 8th acceptance letters will be sent out. Either way I haven’t heard anything yet either ?
  17. So they don’t really differentiate, my math mark is 96% but they only view it as an A. In theory I guess it’s an advantage to go to UFV and do them but I’m not sure if you get more points for an A-/A/A+ or if they just count that as an A to make it fair for people who’ve completed at the high school level. Not sure if that makes much sense? They seem pretty hush hush about most of it and don’t really want to answer many questions that are too specific. Many people asked questions about the application process and points during my info session and were given super vague answers.
  18. Super nervous! I’m too scared to go back and read over what I wrote cause I feel like it’s terrible. Usually I find it pretty easy to write but it took me a good ten-fifteen minutes just to get my ideas straight and stop deleting everything I had written so far. Hopefully they like my answer! I guess we’ll all find out next week ?
  19. We type it out and email it. If you read the original email sent from health studies it explains it all ?
  20. Just got my info session invite at 2:20 this afternoon! I think they’re having to send the emails out individually or something. My session is on May 4th ?
  21. Nothing yet, I emailed last week and they said it would be a few more weeks until they would start contacting people about info sessions and that they haven’t begun that process yet ?
  22. I had emailed them on the 20th of March but have yet to receive a response. I doubt they’d do a delayed intake with the need of nurses right now. Students in their final semester are still able to finish their preceptorship and classes are still ongoing for students but in an online setting. The only thing they’ll need to make up for is clinical hours so maybe they’ll do that in the Summer?
  23. I’ve heard that we’ll hear about info sessions by the end of March. Last years September intake heard about info sessions on the 19th of March. Then info session was first week of April and they heard about interviews two weeks after info sessions and then heard if they got in two weeks after that. I haven’t heard anything yet either!
  24. To me that sounds pretty good. If you’re doing chem at ufv raji is really good. Just make sure you really pay attention after the second midterm. I did a night shift and missed one class and then felt so lost ? personally I would definitely make the chem my highest priority as they do say people can get in with 3 A’s and a B and their website stil says 2 A and 2 B to get to the info session. If you are upgrading it though and are anywhere near bakerview I highly recommend taking math 11 foundations there, that’s where I did mine and the teacher is amazing! You could possibly look at taking some one/two day courses that involve medicine to add to your application but I’m not sure if they pay much attention to that even though they have the additional education portion on the application. I’ve heard of people get turned down that have every grade above 90% and heard of others getting in with just the 2B’s and 2 A’s so it’s super hard to say exactly what they’re looking for ??‍♀️ You could meet with an advisor to ask and they may be able to suggest some things. One advisor I went to didn’t have much to offer me and didn’t have the answers to many of my questions but another one was amazing to talk to!
  25. Yes! My first time! I did my care aide program at Kpu in September of 2017 and graduated April 2018 and have been slowly doing my pre-reqs for RN since then and didn’t want to apply until I figured I had a decent shop of getting in ? I believe you can get them done!
