  1. Does anyone know when offers will go out ?
  2. Congrats to all - I’m in 3rd semester. here is my unsolicited advice LOL - I wish someone had told me - don’t wait to order uniform it take a while I’m sure with COVID it’s longer - you need a stethoscope - order 2 name badges - make sure you have BLS certificate and it’s in date - don’t wait schedule a physical , you need proof of flu / COVID vaccine - hep B I think too . Titres of your immunization - TB test - you need a drug test they will tell you procedure - make a file , copies of everything they will get lost and you will need them again . Take pictures photo copy whatever including your form for fit test mask - go to the math workshop all of it - Google fundamental of nursing watch registered nurse RN - share resources with your class mates we are only as strong as we are together . -try figure out your note taking study methods etc etc . Don’t waste time when school starts - do questions lots and lots of questions to review - try stay on track - practice taking vitals on real live ppl - bring a note book pen and snack / lunch to clinical - it’s expensive to lay out imma say 600-800 depending on what gear you like - books shoes uniform back ground check etc etc Good Luck and congrats again !!
  3. Are they running math seminar for you all ? Did they give you a date ?
  4. Hi good luck to everyone with your HESI . I haven’t been on here in a while since I got admitted to the program. It’s been busy LOL Study questions as much as you can math dude Khan Academy and Nurse Hub we’re all resources that I used. I know it’s difficult but try not analyze too much about your GPA etc. I had straight A’s for four of my five PCI courses but an AP1 I got a B - and I still got in. I know how stressful this can be for everybody! Fingers crossed for you all
  5. Hi , Good luck - heads up if you get admitted . You will need some money! Its about 3000 altogether. Book package, uniform, tools needed and background check, medical check , vaccines plus your tuition, Wish someone had told me and I would have saved a bit for it! HESI is not bad - math dude on you tube and nurse hub helped me a lot . Just keep practice and you will do fine. Critical thinking is like scenarios in hospital settings and what is the best answer. keep up math for meds you will need them at beginning of semester .
  6. Hey I start a facebook group I’ll send you the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/444679290006669/?ref=share
  7. If you can take (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for micro do it - she is fantastic . Don’t take the CR , nursing will only accept letter grades , it’s Mat 104 / Chem / Eng / psych/AP 1 for evening and day . But until you hear from the advisor or nursing dept it’s not truth and things can change at any minute . I was studying for the Kaplan and then it changed for the HESI Nurse Hub and Math Dude is the way to study and supplement with any other you tube you like - I liked science with Susanna for refreshers on AP . good luck ?
  8. Yeah I remember that - I was thinking it was divided into day and evening calls but it seems to be only 1 call . I applied for day but have a 6 pm too . Oh well see you all tonight !!
  9. Is there an 11 am too ? I know YP email auto response stated she wouldn’t be back in office until 11am Monday . Don’t think any of the posters in this forum said th
  10. That’s sucks , I’m sorry for your friends . That was me last semester. So it’s looking like any one who got the invite is most likely in the program .
  11. Don’t want to jinx it but taking it as a positive sign . Anyone know any friends that haven’t received an invite ? I know last semester they Just sent a rejection email a few days later . No zoom
  12. They are common sense questions within a health care setting . Anyone already working in health care could advise better . There were some quizlet quizzes I looked at that were helpful but I never found a book . They are more like scenarios and you have to pick the most correct or best answer
  13. I got quoted 85 for BLS and they are all being held virtually right now . Has to be AHA not Red Cross or so I have been told . Maybe currently enrolled students can correct me .I think it’s best to wait on all those things - so many things are changing all the time as well as the program who knows what they will accept / need / want in the time of corona virus
  14. One student has - reply further up blog general gist - please be patient waiting for final grades etc
  15. Who knows it could change next semester but these are good places to start . Nurse Hub and Math dude were 2 sights I found helpful
  16. So Jules10 did you all have to take the HESI A2 ? Do you know if many students withdrew and are repeating this semester
  17. Also one more thing I think the students admitted in the Spring cohort had to sit the HESI this time too because they didn’t - what happened if they scored badly on it...
  18. Did we not have to have all the pre-reqs finished before we applied ? And we could only get an invite to take HESI if we had submitted an application and if our GPA was competitive
  19. Also have the decency to give us a hard date even for themselves .They wouldn’t have to field numerous emails if they said offers will go out on whatever date . For the fall 2019 it was 50% Kaplan score and 50% PCI . This generated a percentage number and then they used that number to create a candidate list .Top 81 or whatever students got offered a spot or that’s what I understood. They hold back a certain number of spots for students currently enrolled to allow the students who withdrew to re-enroll one time only . That will change semester to semester I guess . Fed up though !
