  1. Not a medical advice thread, exactly. I want to know options/ideas I should be discussing with the MD. Some HX: My wife is 41. she recently popped out a child at 40. our 1st and only. we needed assistance through IVF/ICSI. She suffered a pulmonary embolism that was somehow related to birth control use (per MD) YEARS BEFORE she met me. I do not know the exactly details. during our pregnancy, she was placed on levonox for 39 weeks and heparin during week 40. Otherwise, she’s in good health. Long story short, my wife ended up being diagnosed with a placenta accreta (not incerta or percreta). She received 2 units of PRBC. the MD was able to use a Bakri ballon to slow/stop the bleeding. I want to know what our options would most likely be. we are trying to have another child. I am googling a c-section and hysterectomy is in line. the baby will be pull before 37 weeks. But what have you seen on your floor? We want to carry the baby to full term. But I don't want to lose my wife in the process. Is it not possible to a section and hysterectomy at 40 weeks? from what i understand, as long as the placenta is attached, she won't hemorrhage, right? Anyway.., I made a list with a bunch of questions. Please feel free to type/add anything in the comments. IF you need more info, ask me. Thanks, I really appreciate it.
