Congratulations and good luck! I have to go over to my college and do the same thing for the nursing program. I'm going to do my basics and what other courses I can online so I guess it won't be so bad. So I can work as well,and by the time my other half is done with school I can do actual classes for clinicals etc. Let me know how things go for you.

If it were me I'd go the MA route, what a CNA can do is limited as is an MA but a MA is above a CNA. CNA's work mostly in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term-care centers. You deal with the patient bathing, cleaning, cooking (if assisted)etc. etc. Medical assistant you can draw blood, give injections (when instructed), help with minor surgeries, etc, etc. As far as how to pay for it, I qualified for a pell grant, plus I took out a loan through Sallie Mae. Don't dwell on how to pay for it, if that's what you want to do then do it. People make the mistake of thinking of money to much and that is why some never get ahead. And you don't have to start paying off your loan until 6 monthhs after you finish school. And the minimum payment is like $50.00 a month. I say go for it!

Hello, I am a recent graduate as a medical assistant. I am in the process of starting my internship, which is required by my school. I should of started today only to be told I needed to have a physical and PPD done first. You would of thought I would be told well in advance. Anyways..... I've been a stay at home mother for 4.5 years, I have a 4.5 year old son and an 18 month old daughter. I did the medical assistant program to enter myself back into the workforce. I'm looking to further my career in the medical field as a nurse. I was wondering if anyone has done an associates degree in nursing online? Any help would be appreciated. I've done research but found nothing solid. The colleges where I live require a year in prerequisites before I can even enter the 2 year program. Thanks in advance!
