If you put that much effort into, you'll do great. I purchased the online ATI TEAS study package (middle cost one). It was really helpful as it offers tutorials on exactly the sections I initially didn't do well on, then it'll retest you to make sure you're learning. I spent about 2 weeks studying daily after work in the evenings, and got that 87. Just need that 85 or higher (for Saddleback anyway; I didn't apply anywhere else) and you're golden. Good luck!

I'm so sorry. That pain is so familiar. I was rejected 3 times before finally getting in this time. Every no meant looking for some way to increase my points despite all the challenges. I retook Anatomy to boost my B to an A, and I retook the TEAS because the first time I missed the highest points range by 1%. (SO FRUSTRATING) I spent the $ on the ATI TEAS prep and am happy to share that it worked really well.

I went back to the Saddleback RN website and found they have a GPA calculator worksheet to use. For some reason I just hadn't seen it before; so I was able to put it all together to know what I actually had.

Me too. 4th time applying but it finally happened. 90 pts on my application for those that are wondering.

Acceptance received. I had 90 points. (Sorry for the confusion in my previous comment......I didn't type out my points counting correctly). 4th times a charm, apparently!

So with all the non-GPA pieces, I have an 83. And for my science pre-reqs I have 2 A's and 1 B. So I'm not sure what that GPA math is, to determine the # of points to add to the 83. It sounds silly maybe, but considering this is my 4th time applying I am just trying to keep my stress level managed and not over analyze. I'm almost emotionally numb about it at this point, just as a way of coping while I wait for the outcome.

Still "in-progress". This is my 4th time applying, so I honestly have no clue what to expect. I was able to raise my points since last application but who knows if it's enough. I'm so sorry for those that were not accepted this time around. I don't think anyone outside of this experience has any clue how stressful it is.

The outpatient clinic setting offers some great patient care experience. I would say job search based on finding an organization that has an excellent culture reputation and just get your foot in the door. Reflecting back over all my years of work, how the company treats their employers has mattered more to me than anything else. In the beginning it will feel frustrating that we aren't considered for 99.9% of the roles in the acute setting, but there is a lot more out there. I've been an LVN since 2003 and I have worked in just about every setting that our licensure allows. (I do not recommend home health for new grads though as the job is very autonomous.) I work from home full time. There's some separation anxiety when transitioning from a "normal" nursing job; but then there's evenings/weekends/holidays that I'm with my family. If that interests you, but this particular job is too much of a pay cut, look at other WFH options and see what else is out there. ? Good luck!

Go to the "admission requirements & applications" section of the Saddleback Nursing Program website. About halfway down there's an "apply here" section which offers a link "click here to submit". From there you have to create a Submittable account and follow the steps listed.

Hello All. Not sure if this is helpful, but website was updated. Cutoff point was 85, with some alternates at 83.

If I already had another spot I would take that and RUN. The pandemic has significantly affected everything. I admit, I am envious of those that have that option.

I was going to give them until 4pm before checking the website again. Thank you for the sharing the update notice. (deep breathing over here to try and stay calm and acknowledge the reality that this pandemic is probably making this much harder)

Nothing. Just refreshed my email for about the 50th time today. It's like I'm trapped in a never ending waiting room.

Just wanted to follow up and correct wrong info I posted earlier. When I first submitted my application, we counted 83 points which is why I was confused about not getting in or being an alternate. I was able to confirm last night with Stacy that my actual points were only 78. I do not know where that discrepancy came from which is of course a little heartbreaking. For those of us that didn't get in, I just didn't want to leave wrong info on this thread! This is already such a difficult process. Take care all!

I did not get into the Fall 2020 class, and was not offered an alternative spot. When I submitted my application, the person receiving and I calculated that I had 83 points. Maybe that was wrong? I emailed requesting confirmation of what my points were just so I can at least know that much.
