Mount Sinai ABSN Fall 2020
What did you hear? And was it from this message board? It's really hard to know if this is one person's bad experience or it's deeper, or even if it has something to do with the transition to the new facility.

Mount Sinai ABSN Fall 2020
Hello all, I have also be accepted to the Fall 2020 cohort and am making my final decision between Phillips, LIU, and NYU. I'm leaning towards PSON and need to decide by next Friday. I'm basically with everyone else here in finding NYU too expensive and being attracted to Mt. Sinai due to the connection with their hospital system. Has anyone met any current or former Phillips students? It's hard to get a sense of the place from message boards. I've seen a few posts on allnurses where the person clearly had a bad experience, but its hard to know if that is enough to dissuade me. People seem to have the same complaints about lots of different schools (I.e. "disorganized"). I would love to be in touch with some of you are are planning to attend this fall. Is there a facebook group or anything? I'd love to discuss your decision! Good luck all

LIU Brooklyn Spring 2020
Hello, are you still having a good experience at LIU? How big is the ABSN cohort? I have been accepted and am currently deciding whether or not to go there or Phillips at Mt. Sinai. People complain about the administration at both schools, so I get that. But is the academic experience good? How are clinicals, or were they cancelled?

CNA/PCT schools in NYC?
I went to ASA in Brooklyn. It was fine, no complaints. It taught you what you needed to know for the CNA test

Long Island University Brooklyn (LIU) ABSN - Bringing down the cost?
I have recently been accepted to the Accelerated program at LIU. I believe the sticker price for this is ~$72K as far as I can tell. Do I ask because the admin office says that they don't do scholarships (and some of the other things they told me suggested they didn't know what they were talking about), but the alumni of the program I've talked to said it costs substantially less. Any ideas if it actually costs that much? Thanks!

New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing over Mount Sinai Phillips School of Nursing (PSON)?
Hello, I'm currently applying to Fall 2020 ABSN programs, and the 2 that I will focusing on (for timing/pre-req reasons) are Phillips School of Nursing at Mt. Sinai and NYU's Rory Meyers. Basically Phillips is like $55k and NYU pushes $100k, which makes the choice pretty easy (assuming I get in to each) . Everything I have heard leads me to believe where you go doesn't matter that much. Is there any reason to pick NYU over Phillips? Say, might it help down the road if I choose to do master's level work or become an NP? I like the idea of doing this at an actual university, but it's probably not worth that much more money. I'd really have to be convinced.
