  1. Check your Goodwin email, I just received my acceptance packet via email.
  2. Yes, from what I've heard the denial is a standard envelope and the acceptance letter arrives in a larger packet. Still nothing from Goodwin arrived in the mail today! Waiting is giving me so much anxiety ?
  3. Try searching for patient care associate/assistant positions. Sometimes being a CNA is preferred but not required. It would probably take longer to get hired not being certified, but not impossible. Someone I know was hired as a PCA their first semester of nursing school without being certified or having any experience outside of clinical. I literally just ran to my mailbox, nothing from Goodwin for me ?? Hopefully this isn't a repeat of last semester...
  4. That's annoying to be 0.5% away from having 16 points. Fingers crossed it won't matter and the cutoff will be 15 points. It's been 15 for the past couple of application cycles, so the odds are in favor of it happening again!!
  5. @RN_in_training28 Hopefully it does not happen to you or anyone else! I wish I had followed up more with my application because I had such a terrible gut feeling that something like that would happen. I applied with 19 points and the cutoff was 15 points.. so it was super frustrating to end up on the waitlist. I took this semester off because I finished up the non-nursing courses for the RN and RN-to-BSN programs last semester.
  6. I'll be starting the nursing program this Spring (pending no more surprises from the school).. I was one of the unlucky few that was technically accepted for the fall but not assigned a seat because of an error ? ? .. So I am anxiously awaiting the complete acceptance packet and hope the next few weeks go by quickly!! It's been a lonnnng few months LOL! Good luck everyone!
  7. @JGlow No, I haven’t received anything from the school yet. When did you get yours? If it doesn’t come in the mail tomorrow morning I will definitely call them. I do not want to go through all this again!
  8. The same exact thing happened to me! I also had 19 points, but they forgot to enter my name into a spreadsheet. The whole situation is completely frustrating ... hopefully some spaces open up.. I’m keeping my fingers crossed! ??????
  9. @JGlow I’m still waiting for mine. I hope we get them soon!!
  10. So exciting!! CONGRATS? ...Hopefully mine comes today or tomorrow! I have the points, I just want to see it in writing before I celebrate ?? Tell Tiara congratulations ? ?
  11. Has anyone gotten their letter in the mail? I still haven't received anything from Goodwin...
  12. Thanks for the update! I hope the next couple weeks go by fast!!
  13. Good Luck!! I found the TEAS pocket prep app to be super helpful, especially with the math section. Overall the information was relevant and the question style was similar to the test. My actual test score was pretty much equal to my scores in the app.
  14. Hi everyone! I am also in my 6th semester at Goodwin. I was accepted last round (Summer 2020) but couldn't start because the orientation schedule at my new job conflicted with the class/clinical times. So I reactivated my application for Fall 2020 and should have 19 points. 250 applicants for 64 spots makes me so nervous! Is it usually mid June they send out the letters? Waiting is the hardest part! Good luck on the TEAS!! I'm sure you'll do great!
