  1. Hello everyone - Sorry to bother you all with this terrible topic BUT: I am currently a student at a private for-profit college in the Orlando area and just got a DUI. The circumstances were terrible. I was parked in my car waiting for my ride in the parking lot and it was cold, so I turned it on for the heater. Well, turns out I got a DUI because my car was running and I was in the driver's seat patiently waiting for my ride to arrive. I digress.... Has anyone been arrested for a misdemeanor DUI charge? I don't know how to bring the topic up to my Dean of Nursing. Our handbook states that you have to disclose any arrests or convictions. I am a squeaky clean person, generally, and never drink other than maybe twice a year (never again now). My lawyer does not foresee this being an issue or becoming a conviction, but I just need advice as to how to explain this to my DoN. I feel so embarrassed already, despite not actually driving drunk.
