Waiting List for Clinicals
Clinicals at my school are part "clinical days" and part lecture days. Typically 3 to 4 days a week, but the school calls it their "Clinical Program". I know is sounds deceiving but it encompases both, for instance Nursing I is 2 days of lecture and one day of clinical work. Nursing II through VI gets more involved with both.

Thanks everyone for your responses. This is a really neat format - I never tried this before and like that there is a great deal of good info on this site!

Waiting List for Clinicals
Actually, it really only is the clinicals i'm waiting on. I completed all of my pre-req's and will be finished with my core ed requirements such as Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology, etc. by the end of this summer. The clinicals at my college are called Nursing I, Nursing II, etc. all the way through Nursing VI. Maybe they are set up differently at other schools, but while one is waiting to get into the clinical portion, the school strongly recommends completing all other Ed. requirments so you can focus soley on Nursing I - VI. From what I hear, it's quite intense.

Waiting List for Clinicals
Thanks for the advice. I've checked around at a couple of schools and the situation is the same. Schools seemed to be overwhelmed with applicants. I did however make some headway at school today and got some promising news - nothing 100%, but I should know soon.

Waiting List for Clinicals
Thanks for the response. I'm going to try to get somewhere with this situation on Tuesday morning - I'm prepared to speak with the President of the College if I get blown off by the Nursing Administrator; I just hope it doesn't backfire on me. Thanks again!

Waiting List for Clinicals
I'm so frustrated about the wait list for clinical entry at my community college. I understand that they can't disclose where you stand on the "list" but I'm hearing all kinds of discouraging stories about having to wait 2 to 3 years for entry. Can anyone share their experience with this? I'll be finished all of my core classes this summer (06); clinicals are all I'll need at that point. I'm worried I'll be waiting 2 more years!
