I think classes begin May 18th but there may be mandatory orientation the week of May 11th.

To everyone who is or will be looking for a place to live, I highly recommend contacting Ann Awadi 954-646-6505. She is a realtor in the area and I thought some of you may be interested using her as a resource for securing housing. I will be relocating from out of state and have no knowledge of the area and as many of you have mentioned, finding housing is stressful. I just wanted to share the resource I used because she made the process so much easier. Now I am a lot less stressed and more excited! Oh and I checked with her before sharing her information!

Hello! I am hoping some of you may be able to help out those that have been accepted into the summer 2020 ABSN cohort! What guidance are you able to provide for housing in the area? Also, any general advice would be great!

Check your admissions decision letter on canelink. It outlines the deposit process in the letter! You have to pay the deposit in two $500 payments. The first $500 is done online through canelink and the second is a check sent to SONHS. Hopefully that helps!

I have also received an acceptance!! I am in my last year of undergrad right now with a 3.54 GPA, no medical field experience, and I just completed 2 prerequisites this fall semester and I have 1 more to go spring semester. My partner and I will be moving from New England and have started the search for housing! We are also interested in knowing where everyone else is looking for housing in the area.

I was waitlisted as well!

I think it is completely reasonable to reach out and ask admissions!

I received my canelink email in early October and still have an "incomplete" application status as well!

I submitted my application on 9/17! I have been checking my application status frequently, although realistically I am not expecting a decision until December. USM's ABSN is my first choice!

I also applied to the University of Miami's Summer 2020 ABSN program! Everything was officially "verified" on NursingCAS just a few days ago so its just a waiting game at this point. Good luck to you!
