  1. Hi everyone! I'm a current Roseman student and I graduate March 2022. I would love to answer any question you all might have!
  2. Block 1, if I remember correctly, was a week long and it was all online. Block 2 is fundamentals and you will be on campus for 3 weeks (I believe) from 8-3 M-F however, we were only technically required to be there from 8-12 but it is beneficial to stay longer to practice your skills. Block 3 you will have skills lab days that require you to be on campus. So to answer your question, it varies and you really do not know until the Block begins what days you are expected to be on campus. It's tough but somehow it works. Find a babysitter that is flexible would be my suggestion. BUT, I would suggest securing a babysitter to cover study time as well. You'll need it to focus. The classes move fast and cover a lot of content, especially after Block 4.
  3. Hello! I am currently enrolled at Roseman in the October 2020 cohort. I'll try to answer some of your questions. Textbooks are purchased/issued for set of blocks. So the 1st set of textbooks you will need to purchase will be for blocks 1-5. You have the option of purchasing e-book, hardcopy or both. I'm not sure how much the ebooks are, I purchased the hardcopy only and it was around $340 (again, that will take you through Blocks 1-5). I think the ebook/hardcopy bundle was around $540( don't quote me). Something to keep in mind: you will want a hard copy book. Reason being there is a portion of the exam where you can use your book, you cannot use online formats. Some students have said they use the libraries books BUT the library only has a few copies. Some students have purchased the previous edition from previous cohorts and there is a difference in information (we just took our 1st exam and some students missed questions b/c the info had changed). Uniforms: You are required to purchase a Roseman uniform for in hospital clinicals ($160 for 2 sets - you can buy as many or as few as you want), lab uniforms ( must be grey or burgundy - can be purchased anywhere and they are not picky about the shade of grey), a polo for community works ( purchased through the roseman store, I want to say they were $35 but don't quote me) and khakis ( you can buy these anywhere). They will send a link for ordering books, order them as soon as you get the link. They take a while to come and you can start your reading and familiarize yourself with the book. Student Loans: start doing your research. They will send info regarding all of your questions about 30 days out. It was plenty if time to get everything done. Topics to study: history of nursing, nursing organizations and laws and nursing assessment. That will give you a great headstart. A helpful tip: I purchased picmonics. It has been amazing with helping me so far. Topics coincide with the actual books we are and will be using. We are assigned teams and our whole team has purchased it and everyone finds it useful. 4. Hello everyone, I received notification that I will be interviewed on the 14th as well. I am starting to prepare. I'm a bit nervous but optimistic. Wishing everyone luck!
  5. I went through a similar situation. I fought it. It was a hard fight. I would like to discuss with you what I did. Somewhat new to allnurses.com. Not sure how to contact you directly.
